Poll: Cats or Dogs?

First off, I didn't use the search bar, and I don't plan to. So don't waste your breath nagging about it, please.

Secondly, I don't want this to turn into a heated debate, or, if it comes to that, a flamewar. So don't do that, please. Not that it's easy to go from discussing adorable creatures to hating other people for preferring one species of adorable creature over another; but I figured I'd just try and make sure that sort of thing doesn't happen anyways.

Finally: Which do you prefer? Man's best friend, or Man's acquaintance of questionable loyalty?

I personally like having both around. They don't necessarily get along, but that's nothing a couple of baby gates can't fix.

WARNING What follows is completely opinion based on my own experience. If you find it offensive, get over yourself.

I do not like dogs at all. They smell, they're loud, constantly need to be the centre of attention, they drool, they're messy, and their fur is coarse. If they decide they don't like me they're aggressive, and if they do they're obnoxious. You have to clean up their shit and when they are puppies they are incontinent.

Cats on the other hand are far cuter. They don't have all the horrible habits of dogs and can take care of themselves. Yet they are still good companions and have great characters.

I like both...in small doses, and dependent on the individual.

I used to wake up with my cat on my chest staring at me, which if you ask me is rude...I don't care that cats have no reason to play by our rules and observe our etiquette.

Just this morning I pushed a squash ball down the stairs with my foot(seemed like a better idea than slipping on it and killing myself), my dog was at the bottom of the stairs and watched it bounce all the way down...and then off his face.

That retarded mongrel makes me facepalm all the time.

I don't like either, but if I had to choose I'd choose a dog (mostly because I already had to make that choice and I chose a dog, it's staring at me the smelly bastard), but why dog?
Simple I just hate cats I can't stand them, I can stand dogs but man they are annoying, I have a boxer and it's the single most stupid and annoying creature in the entire world, but at least he's not a cat.
And yes my hatred for cats is completely irrational, just seeing one puts me in a bad mood.
