Congrats, you're now immortal! But what kind of immortal are you?
Feel free to add your own if you so choose.

I don't see Time Travel on there... You could squeeze it into invulnerability but it warrants its own slot :)

That's all you'd ever need...

time travel doesn't make you immortal, you still live according to your biological time. If you travel to 1972 and you're 40 and then you travel to 1779, you're still 40.

Going with invulnerability. Still going to die of old age probably (organ failure and what not) but at least it won't be disease or bullets or gas...

[sub]And with that I will log off of the Escapist for the first time in like a year.[/sub]

Invunerability, any of the other ones you still hurt when you take damage. So not taking damage at all is the best choice to me :)

your really should have made them a bit clearer some seem kind of similar.
for instants can the one with eternal life still be killed? Does the invulnerable, resurecting or regenerating ones still grow old? ANd does old age kill them?

Ha! Cool topic. Undead all the way for me. Eternal life, free of all temptations of the flesh... that's the definition of awesome. I'd spend the first 500 years of my life reading and scaring the shit out of people when I'm bored. I would be the kind of philosopher that you never want to meet.

If you receive e-mails from me, you'll understand my views on immortality.

Anyway, the 'live forever but can be killed' thingy. To put this into context, fighting is better (for me at least) when I'm in some sort of pain. It'll give me time to do all the things I want to, and once I get bored, I can hire a hitman to kill me. Or hire loads and see how many of them I can kill before I die before sighing 'it was a good innings' (can't remember whose last words they are...)

Instant regen all the way, assuming that "eternal life and youth" are standard features when it comes to immortality.
You regenerate from aging, basically you're Wolverine.

Infinite resurrection is definitely something less explored in stories. It would actually be a cool thing. At least then you'd have an ending of some kind, closure, I suppose. Everyone at some point wouldn't mind starting their life over. Also, you could avoid all that stuff about outliving your loved ones and you're always young and they're old but you're still married and all. And you wouldn't seem like a freak to society, and people wouldn't want to experiment on you to gain immortality for everyone else.

I choose this option assuming that I am born, grow old, and then die whether it be from old age or being killed in some way. Then I wake up on a beach somewhere at age 20 at the same moment where I remember my old life, but begin my new life right there. Only problem is you can't keep all your money and accreditation. You could get any number of University degrees but no one would know you had the experience you have. Otherwise it's cool.

Only the live forever but can be killed age, but only to say...mid-sixties. You can't die from old age in any scenario. Eternal life and youth can be harmed, but you can't die from any wound, so it'll heal eventually, but you'll need a doctor.

Why would you ever choose anything other than instant regeneration?

You'd have to be pretty stupid.

Infinite resurrection.
That would be the sweetest, I would learn and learn, gathering different perspectives and slowly edge my way into positions of power to guide humanity away from the path of stupid.

It'd be like an awefully sweet game of hide and seek with my followers...
And it wouldn't be hard not to accumulate alot of money also, just make a bank account that caters to a special set of requirements that you will always fulfill.

I'm thinking instant regeneration. Something along the lines of Shift-X on the TSR Marvel Superheroes FASERIP system.

Infinite resurrection. Every time I die I come back. Avoids a lot of the loopholes Immortality often has. Also I can call myself The Phoenix :p

That or instant regeneration, or maybe Invulnerability.

To be honest there is only 1 thing there that really counts as immortal Infinte Resurrection and I suppose Eternal Life if you can say live with a sword through your chest. So I am gonna have to go with infinite ressurection. Instant regen doesn't really make you immortal unlesss it combats the effects of aging and keeps you alive or able to say keep you alive on the sun.

Chose infinite resurrection.
It would be great that after death, I would wake in another persons mind. Others would see me as someone else, but I would know the truth.
