Poll: COD: MW2 or Black Ops?

I recently played Black Ops (online) for the 360. After hearing so much crap about it, I found the multiplayer fun, even just playing as a guest. That said I've heard great things about MW2. Plus I play on the PC so I'm not sure if that changes much other then graphics. Also, I do like to play Singleplayer. Which would you reccomend? Also, they're both $60.

MW2 is fun, but it's broken as fuck. Expect to ragequit a lot, because between dual wielding shotguns, commando knife lungers and a sky full of instant death killstreaks it gets very infuriating.

BlOps on the other hand is a lot more balanced, although the maps are pretty poor and using any sub-machine gun other than the AK47U is a waste of time. No stopping power too, which means you see more variations of builds.

Go for BlOps.

Black Ops has better multiplayer, and MW2 has the better single player IMO. Black Ops fixed some balance issues, got rid of bad perk combos that broke MW2 multiplayer and overall felt better. I guess it comes down to what you want, SP or MP.

I sunk more time in MW 2 because it actually ran for me. I was put off by Black Ops by the insane amount of issues I had with that game. MW 2 for me, I loved quick scoping.

Can't really say. I played much more MW2 than Black Ops, but thats really just because by the time BO came around I was just bored of CoD.

Well, I personally thought Modern Warfare 2 was a shit game, while I can't stop playing Black Ops.

Yeah this pretty much nails it. When I played MW2 it was pretty unbalanced (although you could say everyone can have the same setup, in which case read: not fun). Also when I played there was a major problem with the care packages, allowing people to run incredibly fast while holding one and being able to knife.

With Black Ops, the main thing is that you can split screen on it! I was pretty amazed by this I have to say, I never saw it coming. Modern Warfare 2 had Spec Ops which I felt should've been put into Black Ops too, but it was pretty pathetic to claim MW2 has co-op. Then you have better balance in this one, especially now that kills from things like your helicopter won't count towards your overall killstreak.

Although I have had many good games recently with my mate, only today have we stumbled across so many players using the grenade launcher attachment. I thought the days of the noobtube were pretty much over because no-one was really using it in Black Ops, but as of today it seems it is still extremely effective, and is growing.

Not if you want the map packs, too. Then it is $90 for MW2.

I honestly hate black ops online. I liked Modern warfare 2's much better. The only thing I like about black ops is zombies.

I enjoy Co-op stuff, so those are my two favorite points.

On the multiplayer end, I'm going with MW2. People say it's broken and unbalanced, but I never really had an issue with that. Yes, some killstreaks are death from above, but if you have the right equipment, they are easily countered. Plus it allowed me to switch between stealth sniper and damage sniper on the fly. Hours of fun right there. Of course, if MW2 is as hacked as people say it is now, I'm not sure I'd recommend playing it.

Me too. Got tired of it pretty fast. I don't even know if I'm going to bother getting the map packs. Keep my money for Bulletstorm and Crysis.

If they lower the accuracy of the AK74u and fix the spawn system, it'd arguably be one the best.

Personally, I liked MW2 multiplayer and singleplayer better and I hated Black Ops' campaign.

I don't care too much for zombies, it can be fun sometimes though, and MW2's co-op is fun a few times around.

However, if you've played MW2 and hate noob-tubers, one-man-army campers, commando knifers, and people thinking they were awesome for getting 40 kills with killstreaks while hiding in a corner, then you'll love black ops. They're are still noob tubers, but no one in the right mind runs around with one out, or an rpg, and camping isn't as lucrative or widespread as it was in previous call of duty games.

MW2 is occasionally rage-inducing, but a lot more exciting.

The question is, which do you want? A more competitive multiplayer experience, or a more exciting one?
