I can't wait for the redone "Hulk" movie. The climatic battle between the Hulk and his father (the film's version of The Absorbing Man) was too dark to actually make out, and the battle between Hulk and Abomination should be AWESOME!
My sister really wants to see "Hellboy II"; she LOVED "Pan's Labyrinth" and HB2 looks a lot like it, only more action packed.
I also want to see how the live-action "Dragonball" movie looks.

I'm pretty excited about Iron Man, but for me the biggest movie of the year let alone biggest comic book movie of the year will be The Dark Knight. I was a huge Batman fan as a kid, and teenager.

I'm looking forward to the Hulk because I expect Edward Norton to be a fantastic Bruce Banner. I thought Eric Bana was great in Munich, but the entire Hulk film left me flat. I'm glad they're taking a chance on making another. Maybe they can get it right this time.

I'm also looking forward to another Hellboy movie simply because I love Ron Perlman.

These are good times for comic book movies unless you're a huge fan of the Fantastic Four.

Someone is about to stretch Dragonball to movie length? I think I just lost all trust in evolution...

A Johnny The Homicidal Maniac movie could be nice, as long as the atmosphere and thoughtfulness of the comic books survive the transfer.

If you have to see one this year(which of course you can see as many as you'ld like) The Dark Night needs to be IT! Trailers have me at new levels of geek-euphoria, great cast, great director/producers, staying true to what they started in Batman Begins. It's gonna be great. it's a total shame that Heath Ledger died. When I first heard he was on to play the Joker I was absolutely sick with anger. But, I have officially eaten my words, seeing him in those trailers gives me chills. Like the Joker in Frank Miller's graphic novels come to life. Can't wait! P.S. Please don't let Iron Man suck!

I'm waiting for an Ambush Bug movie.
\Although I'm not sure if I'd trust Hollywood to keep the quality there.

THOR!

Seriously, Vikings rock, Viking Gods rock harder.
I am SO hoping Loki is his opponent in the first movie, Loki's almost as much fun as Anansi.
WOoah.. I love Norse Gods n stuff like that.. Its so epic! I'll have to look into this!

Yes, I'm sure that Thor would be good, but it's not coming out in 2008, so your opinions are to be ignored.

It might survive the transfer, but not the ensuing censorship process.

"I have to keep the wall WET!" I'm thinking no.

Eh, why not? Dragonball Z spent three hours having people power up before a fight. Dragonball was certainly more concise, but the story itself lasted long enough to make a film.

Not a good film, mind you, but a film.

That said, Dark Knight gets the vote. Batman Begins was outstanding, so you have some idea of what you're getting there.

The Hulk has never been good on TV or in movies, ever. Don't expect anything great there. I didn't personally care for Hellboy, it's just not my thing. I guess some folks liked it. That pretty much leaves Iron Man, which I'm thinking is going to be a lot like the Fantastic Four movies, which were terrible.

Isn't Watchmen coming out this year? If it has been done well I can't really think of anything that could compete : /

I would love to see a Green Lantern movie made because Hal is teh sexorz. But I have to say that Iron man will be a mind blowing experience. For once when it comes to a movie I dont have to cock my head gently to the side and debate whether the actor is going to give an aw inspiring performance. Because there is no better actor for this role.

They wrapped up shooting and are doing the other stuff now. And I highly agree, I can't think of any other comic book movie that's got me nearly as excited.

I'm looking foreward to Dark Knight, but I'm a fan of Hellboy (its like x-files, except that instead of grey aliens, it's tentacle aliens, cigarete-smoking man is gregori raspitin, scully can shoot fire, mulder is huge and red, and dogget is a fish man. plus, more action).

But I really, really like the conceptualization of the new batman series. No longer is it campy and juvenile. the only complaint I had about Begins is that the villains were a bit sub-standard. obviously, the new movie adresses this complaint. Now, it's about the villain, not the hero.
