I live in AZ, and here we have Phoenix Comic Con. I just bought my tickets, and it made me wonder who else is going? Any experiences you have to share? Do a lot of people cosplay?

I havent been to a convention before, so I am really excited, and am planning on cosplaying as Namine from KH.

I'm not aware of any Comic Cons in the UK. But if there was one near my area, I'd try to convince a few people to tag along. Although I don't think they'd be as big as they are in the US.

Also, AZ means Arizona, right?

Well, London's MCM Expo's tag line is "London's Comic Con", although it's not affiliated in anyway.
And it's the only one I've been to, and only once.
Crowded, but fun. I may go this year because the May one is always right after my birthday.

I'd like to cosplay but the hassle of a costume is annoying because I don't want to buy ones, I can't make them, and I'm not to fond of having this conversation:
"Hey, nice costume!"
"Thanks, my mummy made it for me."

I'm going to the one in San Diego, not Phoenix, but otherwise yes.

If yours is anything like ours, I think you'll have a blast. For me, it's like four and a half days of heaven every year.

I live in Mid-Missouri. I'd have to drive at least 100 miles to get to a place that has cons. And even when they do have cons, I can never make it. I either have school, work, family commitments, or I just don't have enough money to drive down there and rent a hotel for the night. So just put me down for "would if I could."

Too True, plus I wouldn't really have a character in mind that would fit my biuld.

Also, I doubt I would be able to convince anyone to trek all the way down to London. :/

I will, once I can afford it. I'd love to go to SDCC but my guess is I'll probably end up at Boston or New York just due to proximity. I go to Granite Con here in New Hampshire almost every year but it's so small I'd hardly call it a con.

There's one in London and one in... *shudder*... Wrexham. This year the Wrexham one has/had the car from Supernatural (yup, just the car) and the actor who played Darth Vader (not James Earl Jones, the guy in the suit) as well as some Ewoks, I think. So yeah... wow

Phoenix is too far away for me to travel to.

However, there is always A-KON in Dallas, which I can make.

Do you think a comboticket would be cheaper?
I'd totally go for that! We could be like Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in Paul! :p

Yeah, even though I can´t seem to pick between Pegg or Frost, Glau would be an ideal Paul, she isn´t exactly an alien but I can totally understand why the army would want her.

We have Wondercon here (SDCC's smaller show to the north) that I go to every year (my store will have a booth there next year) and we'll be at SDCC (as attendees)
