Depends what you mean by work. It might make money but it would probably suck and there are waaay too many zombie films coming out and an unoriginal one like Left for Dead would't bring anything new to the genre.
watch a movie that the point was to have four people try to survive the zombie apocalypse with a ton of guns, oh wait, that's most zombie movies that are out there, because left for dead is just based off no particular zombie movie
There is already a lot of zombie films out there. L4D would be a drop in the ocean so to speak. Perhaps it could hope to encapsulate the panic and terror of zombie apocalypse.
Depends if Valve helped them or not. Valve is great at making characters and if they designed the characters for the movie, then they may be likeable enough to be the only characters. One has to wonder how they will do the crescendo events.
i think it would only work as a CGI film, cos if it were a film with actors it would be over done and be crap but with a CGI the game writers would probaly have a say in the stroy and charactors so it would be better
Basically, it allready exists, just add special infected to the zombies in... let's say Zombieland, replace the youngest girl with a black guy and the dork with a 'Nam vet and we got ourselves a L4D movie.
It already exists. Left 4 Dead is just the typical zombie movie turned into a fun cooperative game. Really, why would you want a Left 4 Dead movie? I'd much rather be the one chopping up zombies than watching other people do it. Though that's the problem I have with all zombie movies in general.
I don't think so, but if there was one made then it would spoil the essence of the game- being that it is get from point A-B because it says so, and no story frippery in the way.
Left 4 Dead is a ripoff of Dawn of the Dead. If the movie is made, fans of the game will complain that it is a crappy version of Dawn of the Dead. There should be no reason to make this game into a movie because we have already seen it.
