i have to say, we seem to be finding more and more ways to kill each other, and although this creates jobs.. i guess, i think we should revert down to the technology we had back in world war 2, all except electric vehicles (IF THEY EVER ARE MADE >_<) and entertainment systems...

its just a thought

No, we should not.
Our society develops in so many ways and technology is necessary for many other advances and improvements that have caused the potential for increased peace and understanding in humans. Sure, we find more ways to kill people, but people back in WWII still managed to kill each other just fine.
It is a basic human instinct to try to improve one's living standards and therefore technology will and should continue to evolve. We cannot have a society in constant status qou, just as we cannot limit technological advances to electrical vehicles and entertainment systems.

Meh, could be fun.

I mean, after all. It'd be amusing to have all the teenagers dazed and confused by the fact that they actually have to use phones for calling people, rather than that ridiculous TXTing thing.

No we just need to get MORE technology, like a pill that only lets 10% of the fat, salt and sugar into our systems while letting any vitamins minerals etc get absorbed.

Then we can use all our labour saving devices, have a big pie and not care.

Then a machine which exercises our body while we sleep, too.

Only then will utopia arrive!

Sure we could do without current technology, but the world would suck a little bit more than it does nowadays. The 'good old times' are just your brain forgetting all the bullshit that was going on back then, so yeah ... I think that's a terrible idea

With the limited amount of text you've applied to the subject, I can only infer that you believe reverting to an earlier technological level will remove our ability to kill one another. In that, I believe you are very mistaken.

Also, you can't pick and choose your scientific advancement like in a game. The study of one thing leads to breakthroughs in other fields. You can try to impede things and prevent the discovery of something, but until you destroy the inherent curiosity and creativity in human nature, you're only delaying the inevitable.

I don't mind escalators too much, although you are correct.

The "walking sidewalks" are what sort of bother me. You see them mostly at airports. I don't get it at all. I can easily walk across a flat surface, so it doesn't help there. It really isn't all that fast. Lastly, it only goes on for a bit, so even though it is faster, how much time does it really shave off?

You sound old. Like "In my day, I remember we had to walk up a hill BOTH WAYS to get a phone signal" old. Seriously, it's scary.

Well people are free to join the Armish if they want. I won't stop them

As far as i know, WW2 was a bloody war with insane amounts of casualties, just because we have more sophisticated ways of murdering each other doesn't mean we'll kill more ppl.
Now take all the non-gaming-and-war tec that's been developed, why would you want to remove that?
