So I bought Crysis 2 after hearing Yahtzee on the first one and thought the second might be worth a go, I did think that going from PC to console might hinder the game but it really doesn't it's the core elements that truly render this game unplayable (for me at least). When your in the campaign the invisibility and the shields are cool and work well to be fair but when you get online what the hell happens to this game, the shields become useless because when you activate them you become heavy and barely able to move by which point someone will have come up behind you and shanked you right in the back and the invisibility drains so fast, I try sneak up on a guy then it turns off and I get wasted. It tries to copy COD and falls at the first hurdle (against the Infinity Ward ones at least), the controls are clunky and take a while to get the hang off by which time you'll have gotten fed up and bumped the game off all together, the campaign OH THE CAMPAIGN, WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!!! is what I say to myself when playing this thing, I'm with a few marines in a submarine of all things, why not a heli I DON'T KNOW, it gets blown up just as easy! then this prophet guy in the suit shows up, starts rambling on about some infection, puts the suit on you and kills himself, WHY?!? then for some reason unexplained you fight an PMC, then aliens come in and the shit hits the fan then I kill them all and I jump in some tower/spike thing and it kills them all. I haven't finished it but Christ do you think I want to? Estimated guess I'm about an hour or 2 away from finishing it but I'll say this, the game is beautiful but that's ALL I can say is positive about the game the stories garbage, the gameplay is mediocre and the graphics are 10/10, £40 down the drain! 2/10

Before you start complaining what a great game YOU think it is, trying to tell me I'm bad or doing it wrong, I TRIED EVERYTHING online to help myself ease into it, changing perks/weapons/playing styles none of 'em worked this game fails to recruit the gamers who like to play different games, where they play a bit off FIFA or Mass Effect and decide to kill a bit of time on an FPS, COD does even though BLOPS is rubbish it's still easier and more fun to play than this!
Ok, firstly what youre doing there is comparing Crysis 2 to Call of Duty. Never compare anything to what flows out of Activisons development sewers.
As far as the story goes, you are either not paying enough attention or need to know the backstory from the first game.
For gameplay seems like you need to learn how to use it. Im not going to touch upon online as my connection keeps borking whenever this one tries it.
And really your whole argument seems kind of vauge.

Nothing wrong with a good rant every now and again (that's how I started reviewing, anyway), but next time try and organise your thoughts a little more, and give some clear examples to back up your points. Also try to avoid attacking people ("Before you start complaining what a great game YOU think it is, trying to tell me I'm bad or doing it wrong,"); if you think people won't listen to you when you insult something they might like, it's nothing compared to how they're react if you call them dumb for liking it.
Also Crysis is a beautiful game, slam some pictures in there!

I think Crysis 2 is bad because it takes all of the good things from Crysis 1 and says "fuck that, lets do something else".
The story isn't nearly as linear, being able to use different powers to handle different situations isn't an option, and overall, the game just isn't as interesting.
With that said, I will say that the multiplayer was decent. That and Homefront are two FPSes that have a little different take on the CoD dominated market.

I found the story just fine. Just played through it. Also, I refuse to call this an review. Then again, I couldn't read it properly because my eyes were bleeding a quarter through the text. As for the multiplayer, oh, I suck as well, but I'm getting a hang of it. Turns out running at people at high speeds and circling them while screaming gibberish and punching away is a rather effective tactic of killing someone.
I did the mistake of relying on one power (Armor) too often, put me at an major disadvantage there, but I don't do that anymore. As an added side note, Crysis 2 is the most beautiful game I've ever seen. I play it on PC and on the higher graphics it's just...Wow. But I reckon that might've been told here and there already.

I like the game itself, but couldn't they have paid someone to proof read the subtitles?
