Poll: Dark Souls Co-op Cosplaythrough! Who do we play as?

A friend of mine and I (both of us share the same name, awesomely) are going to do a new game + playthrough of Dark Souls, but are making it interesting by having our characters dress up as and use the weapons of characters from the game.

Since we're doing it cooperatively, we thought it would make sense if the characters we choose are linked in some way, so there's a choice of tag teams instead of individual characters (some make more sense than others).

I like melee builds (preferably dex) and my friend likes magic (preferably faith) ones. So who should we be?

How about Patches and Petrus? Betray each other any chance you get.

Fits the Dex and Faith archetypes too.

Artorias and Ciaran! Their weapons/armour are really cool and they're two of my favourite characters.

Iron Tarkus doesn't really relate to anyone other than the Iron Golem and both of them are too similar for us in my opinion.

Heck if Dark Souls on Steam god danged work, i'd join you guys! I'm sad how it isn't working due to GoWL has it shut down.

We're going to start this in January, after the game has cut all ties with GFWL (sometime in December)!

Is it even possible to summon two human phantoms at the same time? I forgot.

First off ... SICK LOOKING NEW AVATAR dude. I literally love the realistic face, with the calm snowy background. A+

Second, yes you can have up to 2 phantoms so if you guys wanted a third wheel another player, i'd be happy to join yah.

Cool, well when the time comes I'll hit you up (if my friend has no objections) and I'll make a thread the same as this one but with a selection of teams of three.

I'm surprised I'm the first vote for Gwyn and Solaire. Solaire is the coolest dude in the game, and his relationship with Gwyn being what it is (that is, very mysterious but possibly hollowed father and disgraced, amnesiac son) makes it a very interesting pair-up. To me it would be like the closest thing Solaire could find to what he's looking for; a sort of roleplayed redemption for whoever gets to play our favorite Sunbro.

Well we're going to be using some mods (like removing the white aura from phantoms) so maybe one day we'll do non-DS characters.
