I leave it to you, the Escapist community, to decide which of the RPG's I own I will start playing. I play games much as I read a book. It's a story that I follow from beginning to end. That said, most of these games you will recognized as being related via Bioware. Good stories, yadda yadda yadda. My problem is choosing which of these games to start playing now. In short: I'm indecisive, and don't have any idea which to play next. Not wanting to have to stop and think long enough to actually choose, I'll let you all decide so when I come back to check, I'll start it right then.

KotOR. If you haven't done so already, do so RIGHT NOW!

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, must not command, must request...

Serisouly though, that is just an awesome game, one that I feel all should play.

I'd say it's a toss up between Jade Empire and Kotor. I chose Jade Empire cause there is less chance that you will have stumbled across the story of it while wandering the internets, but just about everyone by now knows how Kotor goes.

KOTOR is one of those games that you have to play at least once. Otherwise nobody will love you. Your mother will regret having you. You will drown in boiling piss. You will go to hell.
That was all lies. None of that will happen. But I think you should go with KOTOR.

Saints Row 2, if you love San Andrio (I shortened it)your gonna love Saints Row 2 even more.

But if not I would go with KoToR I mostly or II (it was okay)
or Mass Effect 2 (if you want a more shooty sci fi and great story)

If you have not played it before I'd suggest KoToR. If you have already beaten all of these and are just looking to replay one of them, play Dragon Age: Origins again, to mix things up, try to solo it with only The Warden, its quite a challenge, but fun as hell.

Tough choice... my first Bioware love was Jade Empire so maybe start there? I was never a big lover of KoTOR, I though Jade Empire was a much better game
Mass Effect and DA:O are also top-notch games so it's really up to you, you can't exactly go wrong

KOTOR. It's one of the best Star Wars games (hell, one of the best Star Wars ANYTHINGS) ever made. Anyone with even the most fleeting interest in Star Wars should try it out.

Should I know these acronyms?
THEY MAKE NO SENSE TO ME?!?!
Then I don't know what Jade Empire is so I'll just say Mass Effect.

KOTOR, DA:O or The Witcher, I say go for KOTOR first, then DA:O and then The Witcher will probably already have a sale

Those are all magnificent games. I'd recommend you start with the older ones so that you don't get spoiled by the features of the new ones. Knights of the Old Republic was one of the games that got me back into gaming after a five year absence. It's brilliant. Play the sequel as well. It's also fantastic, though very flawed (It's an Obsidian-developed game, after all).

Work your way to the newer ones.

Start with KotOR I and II, then join the rest of us in our clamoring for a KotOR III! We don't need no stinkin' MMO.

Then go to Jade Empire, but be aware that it is very different from KotOR.

KotOR is good, just beware near the end you'll get hit by wave after wave of endlessly respawning enemies.
