Did you have an authenticator? If so which type?

Also today the Captcha is giving me exclusively "Happy fathers day!" to type in each time. That's impregnable cyber security right there!

Your Diablo account IS your battle.net account. I would say first scan your computer for keyloggers with the appropriate progrem, change all your passwords and call Blizzards customer service. I think they also have a help ive been hacked tool on their website.

My D3 account got hacked today too, I am so frustrated. They took all my items & gold and deleted all my characters. I have sent a ticket to blizz and still waiting for a response.

It's unusual to have your characters deleted. Check to make sure you're on the correct server. Sometimes after an update the game can default to a different server, and if you've never played on it before it'll look like all your characters and items are gone.

You have more issues than just your battlenet account getting hacked, it's been a while since I've used battlenet but last I checked in order to change the email associated with an account you have to confirm it with the previous email account. So that would mean that your email account is compromised too.
And there really is nothing anyone here can do about it.

Two things you cannot do without authenticating via the email address provided when you first set up the account. So either you're making a big mistake somewhere or your email account has been hacked as well.

they did send me a authenticating noice but in which i clicked on "If you did not initiate this request, please click here" but this did do nothing. I am just saying there seems to be no visable email hack, I have scanned my computer and no virus were found. Also it is possible to change information without authenticating they only send notice.

Have you ever used a card to pay anything directly to Blizzard? They should have that on file somewhere. If you ring them up you can probably use that to prove who you are. Also stuff like registration numbers if you have them (you either have the hard copy still or you bought a digital version from Blizzard, so you have one of the two). You need to ring them up though, they won't do this sort of thing over email.

*blinks* Seriously?

You, good sir, just got had.

You got an email that said "If you did NOT initiate this request, please click here", and you clicked?! What the devil?

That's not hacking, that's you handing your login information to someone on a silver platter.
Sorry buddy, he is right, you have just been had, If you didn't request it, you ignore it. I wish you the best of luck getting your shit back, change your passwords and stuff for everything else to be safe.

Call Blizzard, solve problem. Seriously, I've had the same thing happen (they took my WoW account) and I got it fixed twice (didn't find anything in the scan) in under a week. Then I formatted my hard drive and got an authenticator. Problem solved.
