As a girl I originally just rolled my eyes when I heard this, but then i recalled back when I still rode the schoolbus and it really did seem that every conversation always looped back to sex or rape. The way I think of it, a person would have to be concentrating really hard on sex to actually think of it that often in a day but then again, I'm not a guy. What do you think about this?

Well now I am.

Every other minute is a bit of an exaggeration (most of the time, anyway).

Every other hour is more accurate.

Well, no I do not think about sex every minute or try to make conversations about sex. As far as I know most other guys I've met anyway don't think about it every other minute either. I've only met a couple who really did and... well they weren't exactly great people to begin with.

It all depends on the person, but sex is usually a common subject to think of since it's in the blood to want to reproduce.

Personally, as a man, no. Other men, maybe. (I can't read minds, so there's really no way to be sure of this besides personal opinion)

I'm thinking about sex right now. Not the idea of sex but sex I've had before and like to wistfully reflect on.

But yeah, thinking about sex to some degree every other minute doesn't sound like that much. I used to think about sex every 7 seconds. But just because it popped into your head doesn't mean it has taken control of your brain. Sometimes, sex just pops up and I think "that would be nice" and then have to move on with my day. It's not as powerful a suggestion as you might be thinking.

As someone who is fourteen...

Well, not really. You just ran into the bad sort.

Not all guys are like that, just some.

yep; one way or the other, consciously or sub-consciously, we are thinking about sex in someway pretty much all the time. of course, women like being lied to about what a man actually thinks so few here are going to admit it.

its just hardcoded into our tiny monkey brains; if we dont think about sex constantly, we might end up like pandas! its just a little adaptation to keep us from losing interest in propagating the species.

Maybe they are just thinking about it every other moment when they are talking to you? I'd be willing to bet that men and women generally think about sex the same amount.

I'm a guy and I don't really think about it more than a couple times a day, sometimes not at all in a day. However, when I was younger it definitely came up in my mind much more often.

I don't think about sex every other minute, but I do, usually think about it several times a day. Though there have been times when I haven't thought about sex for several days in a row, but that's really only when I'm sick or in a shitty mood for one reason or another.

According to some studies, apparently not.

Kinsey's data backs this up to.

You'll find the general consensus to be that no, most men don't think about sex every other minute.

I certainly don't. Maybe a couple times a day at most, depending on anything I happen to be doing.

Every other minute would be once every 2 minutes right?
Much less than that, more like once every 45 minutes on average for myself. That's just about though. Although, from being around other Males my age, that number would seem pretty close considering they can't seem to go 15 minutes without bringing up an accusation of someone being homosexual...

I hadn't thought about it for a good 5 minutes at least... between this thread and the last thread I read about Scarlett Johanson lol.

Seriously though, the answer for me at least is no. It all depends on what's going on though. Some days it's constantly on the mind, while others it's pretty much not there at all. Today was the latter, since I was kept busy at work and whatnot for most of the day. If the mind is unoccupied for long enough, it tends to wander towards that though lol.

Some guys talk about it more then others, but I know some girls who think about it just as much as well.

A common stereotype, but it depends on the character you ask.

Go to a local highschool, you will notice a few lunch tables talking about woman constantly. Others will talk about sports constantly. Most just talk about topics that occurred recently. "What's for lunch? I hate tests. Blahblahblah."

Mostly, it's just thoughts that men tend to have that is about sex.
