So, do you think you're an asshole? And when I say asshole I mean someone who pisses people off on purpose. I voted for "Yes but rarely and to people I know who won't be offended to much."

There should be an option "Yes, but only if the other person starts it"

It'd have my vote hands down.

I went with occasionally, since there wasn't an option with only to people who are not worth being nice to.

Like the 'old' man I just spoke to in the sauna of this local gym, who apparently had a problem with me because I spoke swedish with a friend. I let him know what I thought of narrow-minded folks like him.

+1.
As a side note, I take trying to convert me to your religion as "starting it".

Hahahaha!! Yes! I, too, chose Yes but only rarely and to people I know who won't be offended much because I'm a generally nice guy.

But...

When people of *Blank* religion come to my house on a Saturday morning and start preaching to my 10 year old sister, they have officially "started it." Hey, I'm a Christian and I respect all religions but a ten year old girl? Have some decency.

Hmmm... I guess I'm an asshole when pushed.

Only when talking to the public in general, online and in games I tend to be much more polite. In real life I have been described as an asshole and a bastard more times than I can remember.

And Evil, let's not forget that one, it's my favorite, and it's easy, you just have to emotionally crush a person.

Not on purpose, I just don't care about most people :p. Recently I did it to see reactions though, was fun.

Try cod 4 hardcore, I was being an asshole on purpose for about a week on a fake account, teamkilling brings out the inner retard in people (mostly Americans) who have speech impediments.

Heh, I choose Yes, but Rarely. Sometimes I simply don't care about the other person enough not to be an asshole[normally once they have "Started it".]
I'm of no religion, but if anything, Christianity [I've actually been called a poster boy for Christianity once, *that* was weird.], this stemmed from my dad, who used t... you don't need the history lesson anyway, continuing.
I hate it when religions do that, I hate it more when I'm at work and somebody comes in, hands me a pamphlet, starts rattling on and on about their religion while a huge cue behind them builds up [I work at BP, and I'm usually the Cashier, we only have one P.o.S [Point of Sale], so cue's build quickly], a cue normally builds up and outside of the door. I normally try to cut across them to start transitioning the sale, normally to no avail. Once they've finished, then they let me continue with transitioning their sale.
How is that caring for thy neighbour?
*Sigh*
Those are the people I hate. Normally I wait for the cue to leave and drop the pamphlet in the bin, catch me in a bad mood however(not commonly done), and I'll drop it in the bin in front of their eyes, slowly and deliberatly with a huge smile on my face.
I can be an ass-hole when provoked.

Another example of pushing it is approaching me while I'm running towards a lecture.
I've been approached 5 times over the last 3 days trying to convert me, luckily none of them while I'm in a hurry.

Yes, yes, thank you.

But in my defense one of my close friends is normal, and the other two talk about games while hugging, talk about pussy while hugging or pretend to be gay (we think)...while hugging.
And again, *points at self* huge asshole.

I try to be nice, but some people annoy me to the point where being an asshole in return is the only thing to do.

Hmm...

I'm me. I always am, always have been and always will be. Some people can think me an asshole, but that's their call.

People who willingly call themselves assholes aren't assholes, they're self-important tossers.

Arent the two correlated though? And maybe that asshole is just a classhole who is really extremely self conscious.

I won't say i'm an asshole although i've been known to piss a lot of people off ( My mom, my aunt, my brother, my cousins, my friends, my classmates, random people on the bus ) by being overly analytical and for criticizing their actions harshly if they were illogical or irrational. Or as my mom puts it. A smart ass. ( In my defense, i only corrected them when they were COMPLETELY off...)

Ouch.

In my defense, If it looks like a duck, talks like a duck and is surrounded by people calling it a duck (mainly at it quacking at [provoking] them) it probably thinks it's a fucking duck.
