I don't think that it's that I don't care, just that I've become accustomed to seeing all the depressing shit all over the news constantly and have stopped reacting to it in the manner in which I probably should.

dont care about most things, but some things get me down. most of the time i dont give a crap about my fellow man as we are all going to die anyway so it would just be wasting energy

It's pretty sad that you think it's pretty sad. If you assume death is tragedy, then life is tragedy by association. If life is tragedy then the opposite of life (depending on what you believe; death) is a blessing.

I generally don't give a damn about stuff on the news, I barely gave a crap about 9/11. Yeh I can't see myself caring about much unless it affects me. When a celebrity that I hate dies it puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day, fingers crossed that paris hilton is next.
