Dilbert: the story of an engineer trapped in a company that hates him. Generally regarded as being the best comic comic (badum tish) based in the cubicle filmed offices of modern business.

But, although I find the tales of Dilbert, Wally, Dogbert and Ratbert to name but a few, funny. Does the majority of the escapist society think likewise?

I really like Dilbert, and have quite a few of the paperback collections as well as 4 of his books.

EDIT: 5 of his books. I forgot Dogbert's Top Secret Management Guide.

I love Dilbert. My dad's an engineer, so he reads it too.

Remember kids, Dilbert isn't a comic...It's a documentary.

Honestly in my local paper its easily in the top 3. So yes i find it generally funny, but compared to things like "hi and Lois" or "Beetle Bailey" or the boring mess that "Garfield" has become...

that's not the greatest achievement.

I enjoy Dilbert most of the time, but occasionally, I become annoyed by the blandness of the art. It isn't that it doesn't work in the context of the story, it's just that I can't help but wonder how much better it might be if the art were just a little more dynamic. That said, there are certain elements of the art I really enjoy, like Dilbert's persistent lack of a mouth and the PHB's expressions.

I also get the impression that there are many jokes that would seem funnier to people who've actually worked in the corporate environment. Having never done so myself, I get the feeling I'm not getting the full effect.

I used to read the comic in the paper every so often. I remember thinking the cartoon was hilarious, just because they could get away with calling him stuff like Dildo in one episode, or the one where he accidentally impregnates himself with an alien or something.

A series that has it's ups and downs. I read all of the comics in the newspaper, so naturally I read it every time.

In a dopey sort of way, he is amusing, but there have been better and more biting satires of office work. Like Office Space, for example.

No, all the best and funniest comics are either online or in weeklies, since they have lees backlash to worry about from people whining about swears in the Sunday funnies.
