No. What people want to have as their username is up to them.

Kinda, but not really. Sometimes it does. Usually if I have to type the names.

It's okay so long as I don't have to memorize it.
What really bugs me is when someone has a forum name they can easily emulate through their avatar yet don't.*hint*hint*

Meh, doesn't really bug me.
It's their name, they can do what they want with it.

I always thought mine was original since I did not need to use numbers... up until I tried to log into xbox live and it turned out that "Drakmeire" was taken so I decided to be spiteful and make my gamertag "TrueDrakmeire"

It doesn't annoy me, but I do prefer names without numbers. If you can't have 'Cloud' because it's already taken, make some word up and use that. That's what I did, and I haven't regretted it.
In fact, I've always used it to my advantage. I had it as my MSN screen name, and I knew I was winning an argument when somebody would point it out.

No I don't.
But I do hate it when people use the thread title as the opening words. And continuing from there on.Instead of just writing some thread name relevant to the subject at hand.

Please note that this is in no way a personal attack. It annoys me equally if someone else does it.

I don't mind numbers, but on Ragnarok Online people aren't limited to a-z 0-9.. and if you want to send a message to someone who's online, you need to type their name. Now that's annoying.

You might need a few less extreme options on that poll. I don't like numbers in names because when I'm on a site that has regular personalities such as this one, I find that it's a lot harder to put think of those people as a personality. I suppose it's the way it breaks the flow of the name. Vocally pronouncing something like, and I mean no offence to them by saying this, "megaman24681012" just doesn't really work.

It lacks the feel of an actual name and there's a weird, almost indescribable subconscious feeling of wrongness because of it.

In the same way, people who use just words, names or a title as their name I find easier to relate to.

I guess it's about the feeling of person to person interaction, but now I'm just digging too deep into psychological territory.
