Something I don't quite get, aside from why hippies smoke pot and such, is the reason why there are so many MW haters. I mean sure, Activision produced it, and the plot was a bit insane, but I felt it was fun. And I'm still playing the multiplayer, even with the glitching, hacking and Karachi. Because I am genuinely entertained by it.

So what do you, the forum community think?

Most people on PC hate it because of lack of dedicated servers, removal of many many features, modding disallowed so they can make more moeny via DLC, just generally a gimped up version of the game.

Why the heck would I hate it? The only problem with it is the occasional plot-holes and the short length of the Single Player. Other than that, it's an awesome game.

Too many explosives, overpowered weapons, overpowered perks, terrible maps, glitches, hacks, exploits, griefers, 10 year olds, and L33T douches for multiplayer to be fun anymore.

Single player was enjoyable while it lasted.

I didn't like MW2 before I even played and my expectations weren't completely unfounded.

Nonsensical plot, boring campaign to go with it. Multi-player that's dull to begin with and they slap some arbitary brown enviroments on it to make my brain fall asleep faster!

And don't even get me started on the money-grabbing bullshit that was the Stimulus Pack......

Yeah, but the thing is, a lot of other people hate it. For the PC, I can understand. But many haters are spawned on the console front, and it really is a rather curious affair

A very flawed game more so the story then anything else. But the core gameplay is fun even if it isn't always functional its fun 90% of the time.

The single player campaign was rather fun, as long as I didn't think too hard about the story. (I will admit killing off the player character a few more times got a bit old, but not too badly) The multiplayer can go die in a ditch as far as i'm concerned.

I could put up with all it's faults. But when my multiplater was reset, I said fuck it, this isn't worth it.

I also don't like how the counter measures for almost everything cheap requires hours of putting up with said cheap stuff.

Good point. By the same token, the only problem with Nazi Germany was that they wanted to propegate the master race and take the world by force. Other than that, it was awesome.

Where's the option for "too many campers and general retards play it"?

I don't hate the game, but the fact that it actively encourages camping, and thinks that akimbo shotguns is humanly possible put me off of it.

Sorry but I have to say it. Godwin's Law [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ptitle7vljslfu?from=Main.GodwinsLaw]

Anyway I just wasen't entertained by the multiplayer. I loved the Single Player and the Spec. Ops (100% Complete) but I didn't enjoy the online.

it was fun.. Fallout 3 had more long term replayability (new word).
but getting the mad offspring working through special ops makes game time family time.

I was hoping for an awesome single player campaign like in COD4 and got a nonsense story about Russia invading the US and a bunch of random action movie events that made no sense when compared to the semi realistic story of the first modern warfare. I'm not of a multiplayer guy either so it didn't offer me much (in fact I just sold the game a few days back).
