I've grown up sharing every game I've owned with my younger brother and we would ALWAYS choose co-op gameplay where optional, over single play. There's one guy in my college, my exact birthday, with a younger brother in the same year group as my brother, and they're almost polar opposites to me and my brother. The parents of these boys have to buy 2 of every console and game because the older brother will not share with his brother and only plays with him online.

Is this just one incredibly selfish person or do you keep your games from your siblings?

I really wish I could keep them to myself, but my sister would scream at me, my parents would moan, and my brother would play them regardless.

It's kinda depressing, never getting to play your own thing.
But if your game has a co-op option in the main story, don't you see it as a nice bonding experience?

Being the younger, and the IT-superior of them, I have never had the pleasure of siblings joining me in gaming interests. Only later, when I was about the 16-17s my brother sometimes jumped in when one of my LAN buddies needed to rest his hand.

In other words, I can't really put myself in that situation.

Haha my brother buys most of our games coz he has all the money and I'm always skint XD

Luckily he's only a year younger than me so I get on really well with him and all of his friends. Mass co-op missions ftw

I constantly ask my sister to try them. I miss the days when she would play Tekken 5 with me.

So, yes, I would if my sister played them.

I will share, on one condition. My brother has to have his own save files and profiles and I'll never let him play a game (such as the old Pokemon games or the like) that only have one save file, at least until I've completed it myself. If I don't share he moans anyway, to the extent he now has his own Xbox 360 profile despite the fact that he never plays it by dint of me being over a hundred miles away at university. I love owning my own console... ;)

(I have my own X360, DS and PC, while the PS2 is shared by the whole family and thus stays home.)

That said, I occasionally share with my mom as well, because she took a liking to my DS and certain games (Brain Training, Professor Leyton, Mario Kart and the like...).

Yeah, me and my brother share games and play together. Though I don't get to see him very often so it's kind of a way for us to catch up and hang out for the short time that he's visiting.

If it's a game he can play yes, but he is 9 and sucks at most games and when he can't do them he flipsout and ragequits or says it's too scary and I need to sit there with him:|

I never share portable games with my sister. Not after she 'accidentally' saved over my Trauma Center file. You know how difficult that game gets? VERY! I was almost at the end, too. I have to hide my portable games, because she steals them regardless.

Though when it comes to my PS3, my dad says I have to let her play it, claiming that when I got it for Christmas, the tag had had both our names on it (which it didn't).

Even if she weren't allowed, she'd do it anyway. Though the weekend conditions here are getting to the point where I might just move it to my room.

Not so much share, but my brother and I steal each others PS2 games every so often...and by that I mean I take his games and replace them with games Im not playing (of equal or greater value of coarse..most of the time)
I also let him play my 360 for a while...

I let my younger brother play my games on occasion but mainly because most of the game I play he's not a big fan of. World of Warcraft for example, he dislikes grinding and can never make it past a certain level...

My oldest brother is studying in an other city, and my other brother does not play games. But I love to play Co-op with my oldest brother when he's home.

No, my brother has an Xbox and my sister has a DS because she's more of a casual gamer. I did download Rayman on my PS3 for her though.
And my brother lets me play on his Xbox when I go to his.

I had to share my games with my younger brother when I lived at home. All of them. And my controllers as well. He fucked up my special limited edition Halo 3 controller that came woth my Xbox, and my mom didn't even get mad. Fucking *****.
I don't let my 5 year old cousin touch anything of mine since he was 4. He was born deceitful. He snapped the analog stick off of one of my newest xbox 360 controllers, hid it then ran saying "come look what (his younger brother's name) did". His younger brother was 2 at the time and I know he would have never done it because he always plays with his favourite controller, an old broken PS2 controller.

I'm happy to share everything that isn't an Excessive 'M'. Other than that, we'll play co-op and even keep seperate profiles on single-player games. (No Warrior within for you, Linus!)
