This next joke has been overplayed to hell, but no other game quite fits this statement: "It's so bad, it flies past being good and just goes back to being bad again."
Others have mentioned Game Grumps, and these people know that you can literally be standing there and then have your character randomly fly into a death pit, through the floor, into inaccessible areas, etc. All while doing nothing discernibly different from your normal actions.
It really can't be overstated just how *bad* the scripting and physics and animations are in this game is. It seriously feels as if you're playing something made by a team of undergrads for a project (but extended to be many, many hours long), and not a serious attempt at making a game.
That's without even taking into account some of the design, especially boss design. You can be stun-locked to death without a single chance for input in some cases. As an already-given example:

That said, it would be enjoyable to play it as an "so-bad-it's-good" game for a short amount of time, but that novelty soon wears off. At least Game Grumps is being paid well to deal with this shit. (~275-325k views per ~11 minute video, multiplied by at least 1/3 cent per view, yielding at least ~$900-1100 per video).
Not bad, since now the editing is done by one person and the gaming by two others. $300 for 10 minutes to an hour of Sonic '06? Count me in.
