(To be used in conjecture with my other Sonic polls)

This one may seem like a no-brainer, but I've met one person who said he liked it, so I figure I might as well throw it in. Please justify your answer in the comments.

According to these forums it's objectively better than Portal. Never played it myself.

In a way, I kinda do like it. For being absolutely awful.

For some strange reason, I can never get tired of watching someone play and suffer through the game. Like the Game Grumps.

Well... I actually think its overhated a little to much.

1: Its a game thats the source of many unintentionaly HILARIOUS and sometimes even interesting glitches, bugs, and whatnot. Its interesting to see how much it can suck. Its so bad its good in videogame form.

2: Its has legit awesome soundtrack. This alone does put it in a WAY higher scale than some other games that I have played.

Sonic '06 is so bad, the ending quite literally reaches a singularity of shit.
Twilight is still a better love story than Sonic '06.
The guy from Cloverfield could use a camera better than the one in Sonic '06.
A cruise ship handles better than the characters.
Every half-decent song was a rip-off.
The cast of Jersey Shore presents a more likable group of characters than the ones in Sonic '06. And, for that matter, much more intelligent ones.

That is true, the soundtrack in the game is actually really good. Shame it's attached to a er... less than good game. :/

The ending was amazing actually. It made it so that none of the stuff in the story ever happened. :)

It's so bad, you could say it's good...

In that whole 'you can play it with a group of friends and have one hell of a drinking game'...sort of way.

Why didn't you just make one thread? This is just ridiculous.

You know, it's strange, the opening and closing cinematics actually feel like something out of Sonic. Everything else... um...

Watching the reactions to it being played fills me with warmth.

So in a way, I don't hate it.

It IS a terrible terrible video game but it's unmatched as a torture device for sick viewing pleasures.

This next joke has been overplayed to hell, but no other game quite fits this statement: "It's so bad, it flies past being good and just goes back to being bad again."

Others have mentioned Game Grumps, and these people know that you can literally be standing there and then have your character randomly fly into a death pit, through the floor, into inaccessible areas, etc. All while doing nothing discernibly different from your normal actions.

It really can't be overstated just how *bad* the scripting and physics and animations are in this game is. It seriously feels as if you're playing something made by a team of undergrads for a project (but extended to be many, many hours long), and not a serious attempt at making a game.

That's without even taking into account some of the design, especially boss design. You can be stun-locked to death without a single chance for input in some cases. As an already-given example:

That said, it would be enjoyable to play it as an "so-bad-it's-good" game for a short amount of time, but that novelty soon wears off. At least Game Grumps is being paid well to deal with this shit. (~275-325k views per ~11 minute video, multiplied by at least 1/3 cent per view, yielding at least ~$900-1100 per video).

Not bad, since now the editing is done by one person and the gaming by two others. $300 for 10 minutes to an hour of Sonic '06? Count me in.

The best thing about this game is definitely the soundtrack. But in fact, the best part about the soundtrack for Sonic 06 is that you don't even need to buy the game to hear it. Sega wisely released a CD for the soundtrack, I'm sure it's on iTunes somewhere, plenty of people have uploaded it onto YouTube, hell, some of the best tracks are bundled with Sonic Generations, a far better game. Avoid this programming nightmare entirely, just get the album and forget that the rest of the game ever existed

I spent three days playing and finishing it. I will admit that it is pretty bad, but I did get some enjoyment out of it. Learning to exploit some of the game's glitches was also part of the fun. So yeah, it was bad but I still thought some of the levels were kind of fun. Then again, I also thought Superman 64 was a little fun, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

If they fixed the loading screens and improved the controls it... would still have been bad, don't get me wrong. But there's some genuinely amazing stuff in there even though probably not for reasons they intended. I mean, romance between a human and a characte whose design is obviously inspired by Mickey Mouse! Hilariously bad voice acting! A bunch of absolutely hilarious glitches! A story that takes itself absolutely seriously! It would be beautiful it the programming was just a bit more competent.

It was one of the first games I had on the 360 and it made me rage soo much. Being younger and less experienced with games back then, made trying to do those ridiculous obstacle courses nigh on impossible. You go too fast to control sonic and it was really easy to die and fall into crevices/the sea.

The ony good thing I could say is that it has a lot of sonic characters, but I had no idea who they were back then, and I am still not sure who they are now. So I guess that is only a good thing if you are one of those people who like to draw bloated sonic characters on deviantart.
