Here in my town everyone pays $35 a year and we can have a recycling container (essentially a blue trash can where as the normal trash cans are green). The town also sends out a truck so it's curbside recycling. My family doesn't have one because all of our trash fits in a normal container so we don't need a second one. According to statistics I think 90% of the town has the blue containers so my family is in the minority.

Do you recycle?
Also no I will not fall to peer pressure and start recycling.

I'm gonna go with sometimes.

No, I don't always recycle but every once in a while, I do.

Of course I do. Where I'm from everyone gets a recycling bin by default. It would seem terribly perverse to keep throwing papers and plastics into the trash instead of the recycling bin which is right beside it.

Yes, the place I currently live at has a recycling service and I don't find it too bothersome to do it, so I don't see why I shouldn't, it's really not much of a bother, other than that well when I lived by the beach I went cleaning after spring-break[footnote]If you have been a spring breaker, please do me a favour and slap yourself for me, you deserve it.[/footnote] a couple of times, but other than that not much, I'm in favour of recycling and all that stuff but I'm not terribly passionate about it, really the main reasons I helped clean up was because my aunt and my biology teacher asked, not much more to it.

Nope . I purposely don't recycle . I don't believe in recycling . I have a friend who is an evironmentalist and this drives him nuts . I go out of my way to not recycle twice as hard when i'm with him.

Not really. If I pass by a recycling bin, sure I'll stick my empty bottle in it. But I don't go out of my way to hunt one down.

'-_- You're not serious are you?
I mean not caring is one thing, but what is the point of doing extra work to not do it?
It really serves no purpose, sounds rather impractical, besides how does one not believe in recycling?
I mean it objectively exists, and it's clear that it works, even if you don't care about the environment it's good for the economy, as it's just another source of prime matter and helps save space that would be used to just dump it.
I'm sorry but I don't understand.

Yeah, partly because I think the state requires it. Mostly because it clears up room in the garbage can. The roomies for the most part can't be bothered.

Although, the only thing that is actually worthwhile to recycle is metal (it's cheaper to reuse metal than to make new).

Yeah, we have a bin that we put out every week that we put our recycling in. It's been really helpful, really, since we've gotten it, and I know other people feel the same, too.

12 Bags of water bottles so far, I just need to find a day to recycle them! I also recycle cardboard and anything else I can. Save the earth! I sometimes give a few bags to homeless people too. They often search around for empty or loose cans. :D
I hope they're not going into your HOUSE to search... that was my first thought when I read that. >.<

I suppose I can say that my family recycles.

Since we buy milk by the gallon we save those up since we don't have a recycling bin to put them in. Every couple of months we'll stop by the nearby recycling place and get a whopping $2 for a couple bags. :p

It's a thing that seems to require little effort on my part especially when it comes to a thing like putting a water bottle in a recycling bin.

I recycle, I just don't know how committed my town is to it. My apartment building leaves out the recycling every week and the truck does pick it up but from there, who knows where it goes.

Living in New Zealand, it's harder not to recycle than it is to recycle. Most, if not all, of the bins are recycle bins. Paper, plastic, glass, you name it! They're all recycled :).

Correct me if I'm wrong fellow Kiwis >.>.

You can send that cardboard my way. There be a shit ton cool things to do with cardboard, boxes especially...

... like responsible stuff. No cardboard box robots... No. What are you talking about? What robots? What cardboard? <_<

OT: Yes, I recycle. Just kind of feel like a dick not to. Plus, we get a lot of junk mail and catalogues at my place, so it feels so good to finally put that shit where it belongs... other than the trash. :p
