The only time when I've really gamed for long periods is when I first played Oblivion and I barely ate for days on end.

When I play Skyrim I may actually die

Sometimes I'll have to make myself take a break and have launch or something, mostly while I'm playing Mass Effect or Assassins Creed...

When I game for short bursts I usually grab a bite, but when I really get immersed in a game I keep telling myself thatI have to eat something, but always say, just five more minutes. This can go on for hours. Luckily, I don't really do that often.

Well I've gone about 2 1/2 days without eating and just gaming/sleeping in a long weekend. I more or less don't notice when I got hungry and by the time I had hunger pains I had woken up with an hour to go into work and had a cup of yogurt before i went in.

I tend not to game for long, it's more like blocks, when i play for a few hours, have a break for 30-60 minutes and then back in for a couple more if I feel like it.
That's pretty much my habit as well. Plus, I try not to eat stuff at my desk. It leaves crumbs or some other type of mess.

Or do you eat lots and lots of food?

I tend to be the one who never eats or drinks but I have friends who eat tons of doritos and engorge themselves with soda and stuff.
I eat in the breaks (ie map intermissions, cutscenes). Because trying to scarf down food whilst playing is just going to lead to me choking on something or getting the hiccups.

If I'm REALLY into a game I just won't notice when I am starting to get hungry and won't really notice until my stomach is like, "FEED ME ************." Then there is also considering if it's singleplayer or multiplayer. Singleplayer I'll pause unless I'm at a really intense point or the obligatory cutscene that you can't pause on. Multiplayer I wait it out until a lobby occurs and run to the kitchen.

Although that doesn't happen too often.

I play games for however long i can until an outside interruption distracts me, if i don't have a snack/drink/smoke with me then my max game time is about 3 hours before i need refresh. I rarely get more than 3 hours in a row to dedicate to gaming anyway :(

I can't eat during a game. Makes it way too difficult to handle a controller. However, it's rare for me to have really long gaming sessions because, well, I do have other things I also want to do. If I do happen to be playing for a few hours, I'll take a break whenever I need a drink and if I'm hungry I'll have something to eat.

I have often getting so absorbed into a games atmosphere that I completely forget to cook some food. An example of this was 3 weeks ago where I where replaying MGS4. I got so absorbed into the game that I had a 7 hour long gaming session starting from 16:00 to 23:00, so I didnt eat anything that day... but the breakfest the day after on the other hand...

I've got a drink next to me at all times and if I feel a slight nagging to eat, usually i'll ignore it as i'm trying to lose even more weight anyway.

If it gets to a point of it actually bothering me though, i'll pause it and go eat.

when playing games, it's like my body is in suspended animation. not only do I not get hungry, I don't get tired, I don't have to go to the bathroom, and I stop aging as well.

that last one was a joke, by the way, but everything else is true.
And I thought I was the only one. Basically what this guy just said and I normally get to play videogames for a total of 8 hours per day with school in-between and sleep aswell.

I eat pretty much on a normal schedule, if I need to eat some dinner...thats what I do. I'm not going to starve myself to just eek out another level.

I can't stand sitting down for longer than 3-4 hours straight. Once I had a session of Starcraft 2 with a friend where I had to take a break every 2-3 matches to use the toilet (I almost always have a big glass of water with me when I'm at the computer). And after about 3 hours, I went for a walk and then made myself something to eat afterwards.

I typically don't have too many long gaming sessions but if I find myself playing a lot, I also have lots of breaks. During these breaks I may stretch, go to the bathroom, and eat/drink. I typically don't like eating or drinking anything when I'm gaming because it can be distracting and messy.

I play a lot of Starcraft 2, so I don't have a chance to eat while playing that.

I also play TF2 a lot, and inbetween games I can eat a little. (some chips, which I don't like eating that much because they're greasy, and I prefer eating healthy).

Apples and bottles of water are my favourite gaming snacks; I can quickly take a bite and put it back down, and then have some apple too.
