I talk to myself a lot. I don't really know why, but sometimes I just start rambling on to myself for no reason at all. Some times I do it when I'm around other people and I get some rather strange reactions. My uncle once thought I was possessed by the devil because I was talking to myself, that was an interesting family reunion. I was thinking, is it really that crazy to talk to yourself? I can't be the only one who does it... and if I am, well aren't I just special.

I tend to carry out my conversations with myself in my head, but yes, all the time. I've found myself pacing for hours having full blown conversations with myself. Sometimes this is good, sometimes it's bad.

People'd probably label me more insane than normal though so I guess it's nowhere near normal. Sorry!

Yeah, but not in a crazy way in which I respond to myself.

I'll just start randomly talking. Like I'll start ranting about random shit. Not to anyone, just begin talking.

I find it comforting

I always talk to myself when there's no-one else around. I'm talking to myself right now, in fact. Babbling about random stuff is fun.

I talk to my dog, too. He looks at me like I'm an idiot.

Sometimes, mostly when I need to make a tough decision, I'll debate it with myself. Sometimes it's out loud, but most times it's in my head.

Yeah, sometimes. Although obviously one cannot expect to gain much new information when one controls both sides of the discussion.

When I end up talking to myself, I just provide self-depreciating humorous commentary to amuse me.

Couldn't care less about the whole "crazy" thing, although given that I don't really like many current social norms, I suppose that makes me insane - cause fundamentally, insanity is just not following the social norms, whether willingly or otherwise.

Every single hour of every single day. Just another way to calm myself when in a rage other than video games of course.

Seems from what the poll shows right now, everyone does. Me included. I talk to myself all the time. Especially when reading online forums or walking at night alone.

I think up strange scenarios and talk with myself about how I would handle them and I constantly think out loud. Trying to curb it to just in private though.

I think that if you are concious of the fact that you do talk to yourself then it's not a problem. it's a good way of reassuring yourself or problem solving. However if you are not aware of the fact you are screaming WHY IS MY KNEECAP MADE ENTIRLEY OF CHEESE AND BEES at random strangers then you possibly need help.

I do talk to myself sometimes by the way.

Yeah, when nobody else is within earshot.

Not neccesarily because of it, but I also know that I am crazy.

I don't talk to myself, I scream at my TV in the insanity that the TV or game I'm playing has a vendetta against me. Much like in those Gamefly commercials with the people throwing and breaking everything in the room (I don't take it that far, I just yell).

So... I guess I'm insane then.
