Poll: Do you think that you exist?

Someone probably asked this before, but I don't care. Do you think that you exist objectively, or do you think that you, and by extension your life, are merely the product of someone else's imagination, or an illusion that some non-sentient entity or process created. Please explain your reasoning for thinking that you either do or do not exist. I think that I exist, because I think, and to think is to accept that your capacity for thought, and by extension you, exist, so I think therefore I am. Besides, Occum's razor dictates that the simplest, most obvious answer is usually correct.

Probably, but reality (or at least meaning) can only be found in the phenomenal realm, not the noumenal.

But then who told the typist to press post? Wouldn't ceasing to exist necessitate falling out of the space-time continuum entirely, causing his account to have never existed? Otherwise people would constantly cease to exist when thinking about this in front of other people, who would see them vanish, and tell the world.

I think there should be a fourth option. "I dont know and I dont care" Im going to live my life the way I want to weither or not it's real, if I can do something about it if im not real then I will, otherwise then lets keepa rockin.

I thought about adding that option, but I decided against it. If you really didn't care you would not be on this thread.

If I know I exist, I must exist. As far as I'm concerned in this plane of reality we exist and we don't need to know any better so we can just accept it.

That's how I feel. Maybe we are all there is in the universe and everyone else is just made up. That would be weird.

That aside, i am quite sure i exist because i do. I'm not gonna believe that some stupid entity just wanted to see what happens when he would create a world etc (playing God).
wait a minute, God could do that, and maybe he is doing this just for fun. But in the other hand, im not religious at all, and have my doubts about heavenly forces and so on.


My point is, I choose to exist, not someone else.

I'm 100% certain that I exist objectively. The notion of a figment of somebody else's imagination inhabiting a consistent day to day universe wherein they have their own imaginations, dreams, and what not is pretty darn unlikely when you actually stop to think about it. Either the universe as we know it is nothing at all like the real one as all we see isn't even a lie because we don't exist to see it, or we're actually here because all of it is real.

One is an interesting thought experiment supported by absolutely nothing at all, and the other is correlated by literally everything in existence. Duh, of course we exist.

I know I exist, if only in thought, perception or delusion. Perhaps I am nothing, trying to be something, and failing terribly. honestly, I think i exist, so i assume i really do since i assume existence is a necessity for thought and reason. I assume alot, but hey, anything else would require work in order to develop an opinion
