Poll: Do you use internet abbreviations IRL?

So, Escapists, ever catch yourself using "lol" or such offline? I'm guilty of it occasionally, but mostly I try to watch myself so I don't confuse anybody.

Sometimes I yell "LOL" as one word when someone makes a bad joke to be a sarcastic douche.

I pride myself on always typing correctly, using proper grammar, and spelling everything correctly. I do this because my job demands that I can type perfectly all the time, on a seconds notice. I've been asked "Why does everything you say have to have perfect grammar and shit?"

I just laugh. But when my 31 year old brother actually said "Lol", I wanted to reach down and rip his balls off. You just sound like a moron.
