I've been wondering about the numbers on this, I personally don't unless its for a flight game, but i know alot of people use them exclusively for FPS and other games. so is your up: up or down?

I do not. Anybody else use mouse3 for quickswitch though? It really helps if you ask me.
What's quickswitch?

OT: No, if I push the mouse forward I look up. That inverse stuff is just... freaky.

Damn it I hate that. It's fun if you want to mess with people though. Put inversion on their controller while they go get some snacks and watch them flail around when they get back.

I always invert mine, which leads to some trouble when playing older games that don't have that feature.

Indeed I do good sir, for consoles at least. I'm the notable minority out of the people I know in that aspect. I always have, it makes sense the way I think about it, but I can see why the opposite is more common.

In the rare cases when a game simply refuses to give me the option to change it, I can try to make due by simply not moving the camera vertically. In FPSs, it's a deal-breaker.

I used to use inverse controls when I was a console gamer and played a LOT of Timesplitters.

But when I moved to PC gaming, the same logic that had been in my head for whatever reason didn't apply to mice. Moving the mouse forward to look down didn't feel right. So I got used to non-inverse controls.

To this day it freaks me out whenever I pick up a controller and inverse is automatically applied. This has only happened with the Left 4 Dead 2 split screen mod on the PC though, so it's alright.

Same here. I only invert them for flight games.

Quickswitch is switching to the last weapon used.

I do on my console all the time. But now that I managed to get Deux Ex running on my PC, I have it not inverted and I didn't even notice until I was looking for something else in the options menu. Weird.

I've always used inverse controls and still do but no idea why, it's just what seems to work for me.

For PC gaming I don't but for consoles I always use the inverse aiming (every game I have has that as standard controls anyway) I don't know why but moving your mouse forward and pressing your analogue stick forwards seems to be completely different because I can't play PC games with inverse controls but I can play console games only that way.

I'd usually say Normal, but I found myself going the wrong way all the time on Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 during Shadow's glider segments, or maybe that was just the shitty controls.
