pretty self explanatory, do you trust wikipedia and use it?

Edit: poll is broken, the options are yes, sometimes, and no.

Poll is missing.

I trust the articles that have citations and sources, because it means the editors know their shit. I also use it enough to think it's worth donating twenty bucks to.

I do use it. General movie or game info. All the non serious stuff. For serious research i use Google Scholar.

As for trusting it....well this one time i looked up Jell-O and mid article theres a line that said "Jell-O is disgusting and sucks".

Generally, yes. Wikepedia tends to be fairly accurate most of the time. While errors can occur (either by mistake or through malicious editing) those aren't overly frequent in my experience, and tend to be corrected quickly. If I doubt the reliability of an article, or if I need more trustworthy sources, then I'll use the links at the bottom of the Wiki article. So it's a good starting point if nothing else.

I trust it enough for my own curiosity, but not enough to use it as a source for an essay or whatever(however, the links at the bottom can be pretty insightful)

Amazing the way I can look up "Afrobeat" and end up on "Battles in the Vietnam war" an hour later.

I trust it and use it frequently. While I'm sure that there are plenty of people out there with nothing better to do than deliberately spread false information for giggles, the chances of them being on the topic I need, not least granted the type of thing I tend to look up, are quite small.

I trust it quite well, though specifically on science-related articles. Hell, my Chemistry teacher even recommended it, and he is freaking stingy about stuff like that so...

Enough, considering most of the information is verified, or corrected pretty quickly. If I need extremely accurate information, I'll confirm with other sources, but otherwise, yeah, I trust it.

I trust it for things that don't have to be fact-checked. Basically, anything where I'm not doing a formal report on, I will use and trust the content on Wikipedia unless it's patently ridiculous.

Yeah. For the most part i trust it. Unless the page has no or sketchy sources, i generally trust it enough to use it for non-major research project related information.

I distrust the information until I can correlate it with other info.
I've seen people get burned for linking wikipedia, and I've pointed out blatant misinformation on it before first-hand.

It's a great source of info, but far from foolproof.

Not as inaccurate as people try to claim.
