I was wondering how the community felt about having Jacob from ME2 come back around in ME3. I personally thought he was more of a filler character then anything else. Since Bioware has promised that all of the characters that we loved from the previous games will make a comeback, do you think that Jacob will come back as well?

He was my favourite character. He seemed the most loyal and was like "yeah, i just shoot things and be cool about it".

I thought he was a bit bland to be honest. Handy in a fire fight I must say but to me, didn't really add much to my ME2 experience.

He was pretty much the only one I didnt bother talking to more than nessecary for his missions tbh. He just felt underdeveloped and shallow not to mention my femshep had to step over a minefield to avoid engaging in a romance with the guy when I DID talk to him.

Dont mind so much if he shows up and has a mission dedicated to him... would prefer to not have him in the party however.

For the most part he was a non-entity to me. Once I had my party mostly assembled I almost never had another human in my party but Shepard. I wouldn't mind if he had a cameo though.

Blandy McBlandness can stay out of my team, thank you very much. If he is in the game, I hope Bioware makes him an optional character, so I can feel free to not ever recruit him.

Yes. I liked Jacob as a character, though his poor selection of abilities meant I hardly ever used him in combat.

He had one of the better loyalty missions, I thought. Unlike pretty much every other ME2 character, Jacob was pretty normal and grounded. I'm all for variety.

Yes...dear gods yes, that man man is sexy as hell.

My poor male Shep was pining for a shag...but alas. :-(

Honestly, I just want my original squad from Mass Effect 1 back. The new squad members from ME2 would be good for cameos.

Oh god no he was so bland and uninteresting. There is a reason why female players choose the goddamn ALIEN guys over him. I have a feeling they just added him so that there was a human male love interest. Even his loyalty quest was made of fail.

Do not want.

He was far too whiny and self-pitying for my liking, made Wrex look like a beacon of optimism.

I'd also agree that the original crew from Mass Effect 1 were the best bunch, the only additions I liked in Mass Effect 2 were Mordin and Thane.

If they want to, sure. If they don't, that's fine too.

I don't think it's physically possible for me to care less about that character. He barely exists as it is.

Well, Miranda damned well better be back, I spent a long time attempting to get her to bang meh!

And Jacob wasn't a prick at all, and I thought his loyalty mission was interesting.

A cameo would be nice or appearance, but I really do not hope for him to be that important.

Well, yeah, in the sense that I don't want any Mass Effect character to be absent from the final chapter. I don't particularly want him as a team mate per se, but it would feel really useless if there was no conclusion to his character whatsoever.

I like it when things have a point. Leaving him out entirely would just make him being in Mass Effect 2 completely meaningless.

I actually liked Jacob in ME2. I liked how he acted like part of the crew, always saluting and whatnot. I'd like to have him show up in a cameo or something. If he's part of the squad though, that wouldn't bother me.

I think Samara summed him up best when she said that he's a good man, and that events will either turn him into a great man or utterly destroy him. If he does show up I'd like to see him evolved. In ME3 he should either become a far more elite version of the ME2 Jacob, or fall into a downwards spiral, getting fat, going unshaven and drinking asari mystery drinks at 9:00 AM and shit.
