Having played the original Duke Nukem, I think I can safely say that DNF, no matter how crappy, is better.

It was just a crappy little side-scroller.

I only played the demo of Duke Nukem, and I liked Commander Keen better. It was one of Apogee's better games, but still a rather dull platformer.

I loved the original Duke. But Duke II (why roman numerals?) is where he really started to shine. I'd say it's better than DNF (and, believe it or not, I actually liked DNF).

I've played that a lot more and enjoyed it immensely more than DNF.

All Apogee sidescrollers were ace, Duke 2 and Bio Menace were better though.
