Poll: Dynasty Warriors Opinion

Dynasty warriors seems to get a bad reputation from professional reveiwers, though it gets mostly good reviews from the public. What is your opinion on this game?

I would suggest you do, because one of the reasons reviewers seem to be agressive to it is because every sequal seems to be more of the same (not a bad thing in my opinion, and the sequals do improve upon gameplay with each new installment) so you could pick up one of the old versions really cheaply

Used to be fun, now it's just massed produced clones of it's predecessors with steadily more wacky hairstyles and annoying voice actors. All DW5 Empires ever talked about was BASES.

What about DW Gundam? If you make a poll like this you should include em all or at least a neither option. I've only played DW Gundam, I enjoyed it, waiting for the price of the second one to go down.

I didnea include it because it is technicly a diffrent franchise. Just like I didnea include samurai warriors.

I might do that, it was on the PS2 wasn't it? I can quite remember, anyway I can't image how much it will cost on ebay. Probably something in the region of £5.

I have loved the Dynasty Warriors series since I picked up number 2, because it was all by pocket money would buy me. About ten games later, and Koei still has my money for every game. I think it is the only series I would claim to support.

It just combines my Love of History with some awesome Hack and Slash. I never get why the reviewers rate them badly, so what if they are samey, it is a good samey. (Yeah, Should have pre emptied the fanboy love, sorry)

I class myself as sort of a fan boy also, I am looking forward to DW6 Empires, that game will kick ass!

I love them, and though TES is my favorite series, the various Warriors games is second, and Koei must have gotten more of my money than any company.
Most reviewers I feel are biased against them and just assume so much, and should rate the game more on its own. Also the 'its the same game' well...every game is unique? Hardly. Onyl thing is, instead of 20 games from 10 companies doign the same thing, they really only do all on their own. (expcet until Ninety Nine Nights came out) Also I feel even by their fans it is underapreciated. I think Koei tries harder than people realise, and whats so wrong about the same game being made over and over? It gets better, even a bit, and sometimes I want to play the same game but not the SAME one. (If you can understand that)
Anyways, they COULD improve, but so could every game.
Currently I am playing DW6 like mad to to finish it up before the 23rd. Why? Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires. And no it is not to just get more money. It is an entirly different way to play and makes it more your own. To look at the whole thing in a different way, where instead of just fighting through the mission from objectives given to you, you give the objectives.

Well, DW Gundam is like the 'Normal' style, but with Gundam characters. I just call them all the 'Warriors' games. Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, DW:Gundam, Warriors Orochi. (and there is also distant cousin Bladestorm)
