Its cause of that "free" Rome:Total War gold edition.Codgo said:Its the game i'm looking foward to most right now, it just looks epic! After how good Medieval 2 Total War was i think they will do a good job. I wanted to pre-order it off Steam but its strangely expensive, nearly as expensive as a console title. Yet on amazon its half the price, very weird.
Not sure - after checking on Wikipedia, it seems to be the time of slave-trading in the Empire (as well as the other European powers, and the Arabic nations), so I'm not sure if they'll include it. That said, in Rome, you could slaughter a captured town, or enslave half its population, so its not like its untried waters for them.Stevato said:I loved Rome, and so have high expectaions of this game
However, correct me if i'm wrong, but anyone who's played the Total War games will be familiar with the trade routes you can set up with other factions, surely one of the trade routes of the Biritsh empire would be a result of the slave trade... well i guess history must be preserved afterall but sure some people take offence?
The Mega Total War costs more 10 euros and comes with all Total Wars since Rome plus Empire. The one i'm buying in a few days. As I dont have no x-pacs for Rome or ME2 seems like a bargain.Codgo said:Yeah, i think its because they want you to buy them all, for a little more you can get every Total War game. Some sneaky pricing.oliveira8 said:Hmmm interesting the release date is March 4th..as in March forth...

Btw, ur avatar. Is the guy from flight of the conchords?
Slavery was present on Rome. One of the options when you conquered a town was enslave the population, if you had a commander he would even get a trait cause of it.(Also it was the best option you could fill your underveloped towns will people, get some money and risk no discontent population from the get go.)And in my opinion taking such an important part of 18th/19th century is denieng it existed. Also it was around these times that alot of countries abolished slavery.Stevato said:I loved Rome, and so have high expectaions of this game
