I know this is probably gonna do down a little weird, and its very possbile most people won't know what I'm talking about, but do you ever feel like you're sleepwalking through your life? Or you're not being the real you, that you feel you could be?

What I mean by this is do you ever feel like you're living someone else's life, or as though you don't feel exactly yourself, or like you just don't care about anything? It's almost as if I can just kinda float through my life and just not to do anything whilst everyone else seems to have all these things going on..

It's a kind of weird thing to describe but I really hope you guys know what I mean by this because it's starting to bug me and want to know if anyone else feels like this or if they know how to stop it?

??? Uhm I've felt like I've been wasting my life at times, but thats not what your looking for.... NOPE

EDIT: Ahh reading it again, I kind of understand what your getting at, but that doesn't really apply to me, because I have to have a purpose of some sorts at all times. I need something to devote my attention too (and no not OCD.)

I have to say I gave this a cheeky "WTF".

I sometimes feel like it isn't real ya know. Just like.
This has to be a dream (cliche) kinda dealio.

But sleepwalking....We maybe be thinking about the same thing but I am just interpreting it the wrong way :)

I believe it's called apathy and we all experience it at times. But only we can kick start ourselves into doing something about it.

Yeah I know what you mean, but I usually just feel liek that when something good happens. This is more of a kinda, drifting through your life, just not caring about anything that happens, it's kinda hard to explain

But how are we supposed to kick start ourselves to do something if we don't know what we want to do and nothing we do usually stops it. I know it sounds a bit emo but it's really starting to bug me

I used to be like that but recently (last few months) I've just barely been able to make myself care about anything

I feel that I don't know what to do with my life and go with the flow, wondering what I'll do next. It feels like I'm floating on the big sea of life, wondering where the tides will take me. I want to commit, I want to change things, I want to be different, do something great my life, but I lack motivation. Then again, I'm 15. But still, sometimes it feels like I'm wasting my own potential to be somebody and just waste the time by doing meaningless things. I could instead of gab on and on about my problems here go out and do something about it, but instead I'm apparently sitting here. No offense, I do love this forum and chatting, just feels like there's so much more I could do.

Occasionally. Then something usually happens to snap me out of it, and I start longing for the sleepwalking again.

Well a lot of people don't know what they want to do. I don't know what I want to do (well I do, but I have so many ideas that I'm the most unfocused person ever). However I adopted the philosophy of 'roll with the punches'. Do things. Anything. Even if it lands you in trouble at times. You're at least bound to have some fun or interesting experiences off of the repercussions. Who knows it might get you to where you never knew you wanted to be.

I used to. Not anymore. Don't ask what I did. Things just feel... weird without being able to sleepwalk again. Everything went from "Low Definition" to "Ultra, brain fryingly High Def"

Are you talking about like, a brief moment in life?

Cuzz I can relate to that totally. It doesn't last longer then a couple of hours but...

You're right it is hard to explain :p

Hmm, well that is some good advice and even though I'd have no idea what I'd want to do I suppose that's the entire point. Now if I could just think of anything to do in general. Thanks though, that will help the enxt time I'm in a situation where I can just say fuck it and do anything
