Wondering why more people aren't talking about the the most exciting superhero trailer in years.

So, thoughts? Is Will Arnett really the best Batman?

What are you more excited for, Justice League and Wonder Woman [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.940936-Teasers-galore-AoS-Luke-Cage-Iron-Fist-and-the-Defenders-Edit-Legion-Trailer], or Lego Batman?

EDIT: Also, for completeness.

Another trailer I'm loving.

Eh I was very unimpressed with all the trailers for all the properties. Everything looks soulless and committee designed, with scripts that have been put through to washer to make them as inoffensive to every group imaginable as possible, when they're not being simply stupid for the sake of OH EDGY.(looking at you Killing Joke)

I mean look what these hacks did to Star Wars and Star Trek! Completely uninspired cash-grab messes.

Bland white bread toast the lot of them.

Well, Lego Batman looks fun. Maybe it's sucking the fun and color out of the rest of the DC movies.

Does Doctor Strange look like an origin story to any one else? And not like an Iron Man/Captain America story, where their origin happens in the first act then they go on to being superheroes, but an older "I finally am Doctor Strange in the final act in time to beat the bad guy" origin story

Yah, definitely getting that vibe. I think they're going to straight up 'rip' the structure out of the Doctor Strange animated film, which isn't a bad thing. If they do, first act is showing him pre-accident (A dick), second act is showing his desperation and the beginning of his training, and the last act is him actually getting down and dirty, becoming the Sorcerer Supreme in the last 10 minutes.

The only comic book film project I'm interested in is Irredeemable, I had enough of this cinematic universe building around Age of Ultron.

I voted Doctor Strange before reading every option. Didn't see "Superhero Media Can Suck It" or that would get my vote. To be fair, though, no one is making me watch these movies, so let people make/watch them until they can't take it anymore.

Don't know about Will Arnett, the cool thing about watching these kinds of parody movies in german is that we get the "original" voices in them most of the time.
Because the actors have voice overs in the german versions of movies, the voice actors often play them in different media as well. So in the Batman trailer, we Germans hear "our" Michael Cane as Alfred and "our" Christian Bale as Batman. Needless to say, it is pretty awesome, especially Alfred if you compare him to the Dark Knight movies. We get almost all of the "real" celebrity voices in South Park too. And you can turn on the radio and hear "Bruce Willis" promote your local hardware store, or hear him narrate a documentary about architecture in the third Reich on TV.

Superhero Media Can Suck It

I love DC, but I prefer more of either epic Tolkien-esque, Harry Potter fantasy or Gangster movies of quality like Goodfellas, Reservoir Dogs, Bronx Tale, Donnie Darko, etc.

Lego Batman can suck a dick.

The first movie I watched in the theaters with my niece in was the corniest facepalm inducing shlock I have ever watched.

This movie is just not made for me at all, I am too old for this.

I am gonna go and watch Robocop 1 now.

Given Marvel track record, I looking forward to Dr Strange the most despite I don't like the Inception vibe they been having. I still wonder how it felt into the Marvel universe with the other superheroes (I mean would he says he is like Thor or Iron Man now or where were they when Ney York was attack?).

As for Lego Batman, I smell expensive Batman lego playset inbound!

I saw that trailer and got really annoyed that they have a Robin who looks EXACTLY LIKE Carrie Kelly but who...isn't. Other than that, Lego Batman looks like it's going to be really damn good.

I don't like Benedict Cumberbatch either but the trailers look really solid and I am looking forward to seeing the film itself.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to most of what I've seen. Yesterday and Friday's SDCC reveals have injected me with more hype than E3 did last month by a really wide margin. Justice League Action looks fantastic, Justice League and Wonder Woman look like they're going to be good and like they're finally going to toss aside the god awful grim-dark tone Nolan infected the DCFU with last decade. Things are looking pretty damn good to me! I just wish my internet was capable of running netflix so I could catch up on those shows.

Pfft, screw you guys. I absolutely love the MCU. My only gripe is I worry they wont fully fold the Netflix stuff into the films. I want Daredevil and Spider-Man to team up against Kingpin. I want Luke Cage and Iron Fist (and Spider-Man) to join Captain America's New Avengers.

And I want Dr. Strange and Ghostrider to join the Defenders in defeating Mephisto.

So, what do you know? Most people are tired of all this superhero stuff, and those who aren't tend to like the trailer that's the least superhero-ey, that looks the most interesting and original, and a divergence from the MCU formula.

I mean, I dunno, could that mean something?

I went with Marvel tv shows simply because of how amazing the Netflix series has been so far, and after a rocky start, Agents of Shield really got a handle on things halfway through the first season.

I'm liking DC's stuff so far with Wonder Woman taking the top prize due to them really emphasizing the WWI setting and giving gravitas to Diana wandering into the world of man during one of the most brutal armed conflicts in recorded history. The Justice League trailer is really building up the characters (though I'm surprised at how much attention Aquaman is getting). Suicide Squad looks like it could be fun, especially because Harley looks amazing. What intrigues me is that all three of them don't really reveal who the villains are. Wonder Woman has soldiers clearly on an enemy side, but due to the murky nature of WWI she could be fighting anyone. With Justice League it's already been revealed the enemy is Steppenwolf, but he's nowhere to be seen in the trailer (a month back they said they entered final negotiations with an actor, but haven't revealed who it is). And Suicide Squad has that giant hole in the sky along with what appears to be a supernatural threat, but no idea who caused it (maybe the Joker, but that seems too obvious). A very odd decision, but an intriguing one.

And then of course there's Lego Batman. Ho. Ly. CRAP, that looks hilarious. The Lego Movie was amazing and I have no doubt this will be the same.

BvS killed DC for me. I may watch the Lego Batman film on DVD, though.

On the other hand, I want to see what the MCU does with the Sorcerer Supreme.

Doctor Strange I'm expecting to be really good and a contendor for my new fave single-hero Marvel film.

LEGO Batman is going to be fun. The way that DC and Batman are nowadays is crying out for parody.

I'd really love Wonder Woman to be good but I'm not holding my breath.

Marvel TV has been consistently good (or even great) but they all have significant room for improve in some areas (except maybe Jessica Jones) and I hope they keep getting better.

If Justice League is more than a mediocre action blockbuster with expensive-looking action scenes then I'll eat a kilogram of my own hair... which will probably take a really long time.
