This is sorta like new vs old, but in my opinion it has a more interesting side to it...

Let's talk about 2 cases:

-if you could choose for yourself, what would you pick? talent or experience?
-if you could choose for your team, what would you pick?

first case i'd pick experience cause i'd have the opportunity to pass my knowledge on
second case i'd pick experience also cause i'd have the opportunity to have knowledge passed on to

and just to clear things out, my view on the 2 categories is that experience is something earned through work, while talent is given genetically and can only be passed on genetically

You'd pick talent for yourself and experience for your team.
Experience would just make you older and that can wait.

This is a chicken and egg thing. I have to say you need both. Talent never reaches its full potential without experience, and, with enough experience, you will become skilled at a task even if you didn't initially have talent, but, then again, with talent, you can acclimate more quickly to training and practice.

I think it varies from person to person. I would personally choose talent because I know that I'm a quick learner. That makes experience less important to me. But, if I had to choose for a team, I would choose experience, because I think that makes a person wiser, more disciplined and easier to work with in a group.

I am glad to be both.
Talent is worthless if you don't use it to build experience. Experience is unattainable without the talent to pursue it.
