I've noticed that over the last few years theres been a huge decline in the number of people using Myspace. Many people I know have left Myspace for Facebook.

I'm just wondering what you all think? Is Facebook better, is so, why?

Or do you think Myspace is better?

I personally use both. I was against Facebook because the layout it had 4 years ago was messy and unorganised compared to Myspace. I do still use Myspace despite going from 150 or so friends down to 12. I couldn't turn away from Myspace completely though, I met my fiancé on Myspace and if we hadn't met we wouldn't have our child.

I never used Myspace. I still have a FaceBook account.

Guess that answers your question.

100% Facebook on the poll. Possibly because I'm the only one to have voted at the time of writing. Still, Facebook it is: it's a generally better website, and no one I know is on MySpace, which sort of defeats the point.

Neither because they're practically the same thing, a way to say you have more friends than you really do and a way to talk to people without having to see or hear them.

Myspace is pretty much just for bands now right? And like companies that can't afford to run their own servers maybe? I also have never had a myspace, and now I have a facebook. So there's that.

Neither, I can't think of a more pathetic reason(personal opinion, of course) to have those. If you´re not a company or got a lot of followers but then again twitter would be better for informing people.

I live 250 miles from my family and friends so its a practical way to stay in touch. But yes, there are people who add random people for no reason just to increase their number of friends
Okey one good reason to have it, didn't think of that.

myspace i only had 40 friends, facebook i have over 200 9and counting). myspace is very cluttered in my opinion and it isn't very supportive of getting friends.

As much as I can see what your saying and to an extend I agree. But it's not always like that. I use them to stay in touch with friends and family.

Neither. Twitter's far more simple, plus I don't have to post my ugly mug on there.

If I did choose one though, I'd go with Facebook. Everyone's constantly telling me to get a Facebook account, but I don't recall anyone even mentioning MySpace to me.
I could make a MySpace account instead just to spite them all...

MySpace is creepy, and Facebook is just advanced e-mail with pictures. So... neither gets my vote.

People still use Myspace? Are we still in 2004? I thought everybody who was "hip" and "cool" used Facebook ad Twitter nowadays. I thought Myspace was the place were whiney, preteen, emos went to express their feelings and write poetry. You know, all of those aspects about Junior High School that I loathed?

To answer your question and vote in your poll: Facebook. There is a whole more mature aspect to it, and you can control a lot more of your page and who you talk to. Myspace can drown in the river of time.

I used to use Myspace but I got sick and tired of bands and scene kids spamming me every 20 mins.

At least facebook gives you the option of hiding their nonsense.

Why do so many people hate facebook so much? I mean yeah, some people just add people to get their friends lists up and thats pretty lame, and some people stay on it all the time, but if that's so bad just don't do that then? I don't, I only add people I talk to frequently in real life. And I really only use it because a lot of my friends don't have skype and it's just convenient sometimes. I don't know, It just doesn't seem as horrible as some people act about it. (by which i mean my /b/tard friend, who recently started using it again, so theres that)

I used to have a myspace, when I was just starting high school. But, it rather quickly became completely infested with camwhores, spam, and idiots, so I deleted it. I switched to facebook when I went to college (back when only people in college could get on it) and I've never had any problems with it, plus, it has so much more to do and I think it's better organized.
