I prefer Fahrenheit. I think it makes more sense. Detractors of Fahrenheit say Celsius makes more sense because it is based on the freezing and boiling points of water where as Fahrenheit is more arbitrary being based on the freezing and boiling points of water after they have been altered but outside chemicals. I've never particularly understood basing our temperature scale off water. Water is important of course and we have to base our temperature scale off something but if you want to talk about "arbitrary" you must admit the Celsius scale is quite arbitrary next to the Kelvin scale that starts off at absolute zero, the coldest it is possible for matter to get. No, the good thing about the Fahrenheit scale is the zero degrees represents the coldest it is likely to get while one hundred degrees represents the hottest, which must makes more practical sense.
But what do you think?
