So... I was thinking this, is it correct.

I mean, if you fail to plan, thats simple enough. But planning to fail assumes you've had to plan in the first place, which is illogical as you've failed to plan.

A paradox springs to mind.

So, what do you fellow Escapians think?

Why would anyone plan to fail? Surely if anyone knew thet were going to fail they'd just say : "Fuck this, I'm staying home".

PLanning to fail, and then succeeding in the plan... equals fail... thus equaling win?

Whenever I write an essay, I never plan. Mind you, I get terrible marks...

But I really can't be bothered to plan.

Perhaps you could plan to fail to make the bad guys think you really did fail to they could get on with their evil deeds thinking that they are safe from the good guys but then the good guys, who didn't actually fail as it was a planned fail, would come and beat the living snot out of the baddies cause they didn't know they were coming.

But wait! The plan was supposed to fail thus it wins as well. So all in all, it's a win.

The best bits in life aren't planned, which probably makes them better.

But I'd say it's correct and now I offer the police's version, The Seven Ps.
Prior Planning & Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

Lets say that the good guys some sort of force field protection thing that protects them.
The bad guys don't know this.
The bad guys catch the good guys who were snoping around the bad guy lair though the good guys planned on getting caught.
The bad guys blow them up but they live because of the force field!
The bad guys think they are dead and go about their daily bad guy stuff but get stopped by the good guys as they didn't take as many precautiones.

To me, that is a planned fail.

No, its not logical, there were no plans. Anyway whats wrong with just winging it? That's got no plans involved and can still work.

It's always good to have a plan, but be able to make it up as you go along if said plan doesn't work out. Sometimes, planning things out can just be another form of putting all your eggs in one basket.
