I guess he means Game Of The Year (Edition) but it took me a few secs. to understand it too!

*Edit: OT: I don't know. I've only played fallout 3 with most of the expansions. New Vegas is still on my list, but I'm waiting for the patches to come out to solve most of the bugs.

Game of the year edition (comes with all DLC)
New Vegas. Even with the DLC Fallout 3 has less content than New Vegas and New Vegas has additions that make it a better game.

Depends what your after. If you want a good story, go with New Vegas.

If you want more bang for your buck, I'd still say go for New Vegas. Since there's only like, two DLC that are worth it. 3 if your on a console.

Flip a coin.

Both are great. both have the same issues and graphics. Both are well worth getting.

New Vegas has Tabitha and Rhonda's radio show. Therefore, New Vegas instantly wins.

And New Vegas, to me, is so far a lot more fun than F3 was. More to explore (even though the area isn't bigger itself, there's just more in it), it's funnier, weapons are cooler and it's more varied.

I haven't finished the game yet, but there's a lot more choice to be made into that as well, the game in general is a lot less black and white than F3 was.

Tabitha and Rhonda's the most important reason though. And Mr. New Vegas' sexy sexy voice.

Fallout 3 GotY. You'll get more for your money and there are more mods for it too.

Well, it depends how taken you are to bugs.
New Vegas is very buggy, glitches all over. (Yes, you can like me be lucky and have play-through's with little to no bugs)
Also, not saying Fallout 3 doesn't have bugs either, just not as many.

The GOTY DLC's make FO:3 seem a good choice, but on the whole the extra content was terrible. And New Vegas is jam-packed enough already to keep you occupied for many many hours. EG- spanning over 3 characters I've got a good few hundred hours, and still haven't covered all of the content.

New Vegas is also better in my humble opinion. Characters are more interesting (but voice acting is worse), radios are great (No 3 Daawg, but Mr. New Vegas has his own class), much better combat gameplay, fun and varied weapons, more in-tune with previous Fallouts (stats, DAM etc, weapon mods, character implants), loads more content in a smaller world, factions, typically very good Fallout humour.

So after that- I'd say if you don't mind a few bugs and have a bit of patience- go with New Vegas. If not, wait 'til a few patches come out for NV, and find yourself a cheap FO:3 GOTY somewhere

Personally, I like New Vegas better, because FO3 had WAAAAYYYY too much dungeon/abandoned building/subway/cave-crawling, which made the treks through the wastelands become lengthy searches for every last bit of whatever you can hold to sell, while New Vegas has a lot of landmarks that are mostly small, simple structures, and the expanded party system lets you give them more stuff to hold, so you're not killing yourself trying to fit 200 (weight?) of stuff at once while trying to be armed enough to survive.

Both are nommy.

I personally loved GOTY, though, and New Vegas hasn't sucked me in the same way that FO3 did, but that's my personal opinion.

Only from Mods, even with the GoTY edition, New Vegas still has more content. I'd say New Vegas anyway, just because Its already got more then F3, and I think theres still some DLC on the way.

Both are really good but I like new vegas better. FO3 as a bigger more visual area. You can spend a bunch of time running the waste looking at different ruins, skeletons trying to figure out what happen, and lot of huge buildings to explore. NV kinda took away a lot of fat and made the game areas more compact, with a better story. After spending so much time on my first FO3 char I didn't really wanna make another because of how big the areas and how many fcking subways you gotta go through! But NV keeps me entertained with different builds since you can't have a perfect char, and lots of fractions to deal with.

But I'd say you should try FO3 first. It's a bigger experience esp with all the DLC, and it helps ya appreciate the things they've changed in NV.
