In Fallout 3 I usually have good karma

I can't be evil if i tried - and when i DO try, i just end up killing everything i come into contact with

I always play "good" or "light side" because historically I have enjoyed the storylines more.

whenever I try to be evil I go and do something like not blow up Megaton or something and it gets me neutral karma.

Evil. So damn evil. The only reason i blew up Megaton was because me and the follower from megaton(cant remember his name) killed literally everybody inside when I got bored and killed the shopkeeper who is ALWAYS happy. I swear I heard her giggling when i shot her twice in both feet with a sawed-off.

In every game with a good vs evil system or ranking I always play good or the equivalent for two reasons.
1. I cant be bad, there's no way I could actually blow up megaton, what would happen to poor billy creel and his adopted daughter?
2. Bonuses received are usually better.

But how about we have a game with moral choices with no ranking system (or at least one that the player can see and constantly refer to), like The Witcher.
You kill a man because he poses a threat to your family is that good or bad?
Life is all about the grey areas, video games should aspire to that too.

Very Evil.

What bugs me about Fallout 3 is there are bunch of choices that give you good karma even if you could very well have done it for selfish reasons, such as NOT destroying Megaton because you want a place to unload loot without having to go across the world before you discover other towns, or freeing a Red because the slavers want you to bring her in.

Neutral, even if this game makes it difficult to stay on that karma level. I'm only neutral because I do whatever benefits my character the most.

The whole karma system in Fallout 3 needs to be improved. I still don't understand why turning raiders into slaves gives me bad karma.

Even though I steal everyone I meet blind, I still end up with an incredibly high Karma level. Thats fine by me though, I like being nice.

I usually go "Good" first, then play "Bad" second. However, with Fallout 3, there's actually a "neutral" side, so I'm planning to play neutral third.

The first thing I did upon escaping, was find a retired hooker, and when it seemed that I couldn't sleep with her, I shot her in the face and stole all her caps.

so yeah.

Pretty much evil.

I voted very good even though I played through once as good and once as bad and about halfway through as nuetral. But when I play just for fun, I always play my good character cause it feels more comfortable to play.

My average karma is neutral, many play throughs I was very evil, many ply throughs I've been very good, only one play through have I been neutral, it's hard to maintain!

Regardless of what my avatar thinks about the neutrals

I do multiple playthroughs, and in addition to playstyle (stealth, socialist, big guns expert, ect) I also select a given allignment. At first I normally do "me in the game". as was stated there are alot of grey choices, so I went screw it I'll play as me and if I deem stealing someones vodka as the greater good I will. Which got me to neutral allignment. I then found "impartial Mediator" perk so I then consiously went for neutral. Incidently thats harder then I thought, killing 4 people in megaton was enough to shift me from good to evil
