Pursuant to this thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.153246] in which I neglected to add a poll before bringing up the following subject:

Fallout 3's full of great music. I find myself singing along with the songs on Galaxy News Radio as I walk across the wasteland turning Super Mutant faces into red paste. Even after I turn off the console, I'm humming some jazz or recalling the lyrics of some of the catchier tunes.

Foremost in my mind is Danny Kaye & the Andrews Sisters' "Civilization (Bongo Bongo Bongo)."

Do you guys have a favorite song from Fallout 3? Do any of them get stuck in your head?

"I don't want to set the world on fire" is awesome. Especially while wielding a flamethrower.

I thought it "The Ink Spots" and not blots?

I voted for "Civilization", but "A wonderful guy" comes a close second.

I don't know what it is but "I don't want to set the world on fire" always stuck out for me.Maybe it was the melencholy feel to it.Maybe it was the stark contrast to the game.Maybe it was the irony, but it's my fav.

The Spot are awesome yes, however, I have to put my vote for Mr.Porter. Anything Goes is just, timeless.

Thanks for including Tex Beneke! Now to prove my theory that no one else in the world likes that song. :p

Off-topic: Namelessguy, could you maybe explain why you don't want to be quoted? It's far and away the most convenient way of referencing the post that you're replying to...

"Butcher Pete" was the best IMHO.
It was just perfect for a nice afternoon of killing orcs with a katana.

Bah, didn't include either of my favourite songs:
'Happy Times' Bob Cosby
'Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall' Ella Fitzgerald and The Ink Spots

I don't want to set the world on fire
I just want to start a flame in your heart...
In my heart I have but one desire
and that one is you, no other will do

I've lost all *something* (transmission?)
The world's in a blaze
I just want to be the one you love
and with your admition, that you feel the same
I have reached the goal I'm dreaming of
Believe me

Off the top of my head

For me it's a tie between "I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire" and "Butcher Pete". Both are amazing to hear in the background when you're off on a slaughter.

Fixed it for you, my good man.

'Way Back Home' is definitely the one I find myself humming along to. but 'I don't Want to Set the World on Fire' is really high up there as well.
