Sometimes I like the show and sometimes I don't. It's like a guilty pleasure that I don't always enjoy. So, do you guys love the show or hate it? And why?

I don't. I liked a few of the old episodes, but I really, REALLY hate the new episodes...I figured it aged more like milk than fine wine.

Eh. It has it's moments, but it's not something I would normally watch. Usually a bit too low-brow for my tastes.

Voted "Yay!" because I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it in the past. I haven't watched an episode in some time now though so I have no idea if the new episodes are good or not.

I still like it, though I have noticed a sever drop in quality over the years. Gay Stewie is getting incredibly old so I was happy when it looked like they were bringing back evil Stewie a while back but that turned out to be pretty short lived.

very much a hit-and-miss.

I judge it the same way I judge Monty Python, the % of jokes(that may or may not relate to the ep's plot) I find funny will define how I feel about the ep.

I consider it sketch comedy so I don't care about the fact many jokes are interchangeable.

Yay, when they remember the difference between shock value and humor.

Yay, it can be surprisingly clever from time to time and even when it isn't it is entertaining. I can only see so much at one time though.

It uses an incredibly lazy gag-driven writing style that enables whatever capricious bullshit to brought up totally out of context for a simple joke no matter how detatched it is from the conversation. However that does not stop it being hilarious, although the hilarity has significantly declined since about season 4/5.

I love it. Its a comedy show that used a method to ensure they could make ANY joke. People criticize Family Guy for the random non plot jokes that pop up...but its a comedy. It is supposed to make you laugh, not tell a great story. And who cares if its low brow? Again, its supposed to make you laugh.

Yeah, pretty much that. The old stuff was funny, but the new stuff sucks...kinda like the Simpsons, but worse.

It used to be a beasty show; now it's one of the worst shows on TV. Half of the jokes are just references to the 80's which have nothing to do with the plot.

I really don't like. It just gets too stupid and the jokes are really nothing but the writers just giving up and ripping off anything they can get away with and extend the jokes for wwwaaaaaayyyyyy to long.

I'm not much into the Family Guy's humor, although I certainly enjoyed it a lot back then, it just doesn't appeal me as much as before. It's almost too random for the sake of being... well, too random.

I think that Family Guy had it's chance and should die (again) while it still has dignity.

Basically this.

Started getting shit when it got on it's soapbox around season 5

HURDUR ATHEISM LEGALISED POT HOMOSEXUALS

The episode on atheism was particuarly grating and embarassing, basically saying "You can believe whatever you want, as long as it's atheism"
Not to mention that it went from humor from actual jokes to tired-ass, overly-long running jokes to grossout humor and...overly long, repeating jokes that aren't funny, like I just said.

Pretty much this, South Park's soapboxing is good and I like it, but Family guy's just gone down the shitter after about when there was that cannabis episode.

If I see one more Aahh sssss or "Here's something you'll really like"

I will not watch the show again. It's just good enough to watch, by a sliver. American Dad surpasses it easily by this point.

Seth's leftism is pretty grating.

Meh. It has it's moments, sure, but often it's just trying to push buttons just to push buttons. Plus, it rarely does anything truly new and just repeatedly trots out the same old jokes.
