i just got 360 a week ago and i bought a used copy of gears of war and the orange box
ive been looking around and i found far cry two for prety cheap and brand new (20 bucks)
i looked at some reviews and it looks cool but idk for sure
anyone have any opinions?
also if u wana throw in other sugestions for good games thats cool to but try and keep it based around far cry 2.
(btw for the mods i didnt write a review so i didnt think it would go in the review section although the responses im aiming for could be loosely defined as a very informal review im new and i dont know how strict the rulles are so have mercy)

I don't want to say I hated the game because I didn't it was great but it was too repetitive for me, but what game isn't repetitive. There was just something I didn't like about it. The whole drive out of your way to do anything.

I only like the MP. I hate Singleplayer, just too hard to bother with. I play the xbox 360 version.

ehh, it was ok, it certainly did nothing to hook me in and I had stopped playing after two weeks so it probably isn't worth it.

Its damn pretty and huge. But you haven't got as much freedom as you think you do. The stealth is a lie, it doesn't work. And be prepared to accept that everyone attacks you, its just how it is...

What left a bitter taste in my mouth is that it has a no turning back point. Get a mission late in the game? No more side quests. No more mucking about. Once you reach the end, the save is obviously worthless. Argh! Annoys me even now...

I just bought it a few days ago myself, and so far I am enjoying it. At first it was a little frustrating but I got used to everything being in first person perspective and found it to be enjoyable if rather tedious at times.

I really liked it I can understand why some people may not like it but the graphics are great and it was ambitious game an open world first person shooter in Africa is a pretty cool setting if you ask me.

It's beautiful and huge, but the gameplay can get kind of repetitive, since the mission types are very limited. You either:
1- Blow up something belonging to one of two factions.
2- Kill a certain someone.
3- Blow up a convoy
4- Kill everyone around a house to get meds from the people in it.

I recommend the PC version, since you can save anywhere, especially before the "point of no return" mission. It's an excellent shooters in 20-30 minutes doses.

It's... I don't know. I feel kind of bitter about it because my copy got fucked up pretty bad, and I tried to finish it without the current patch, which is pretty much impossible. Corrupt data and stuff like that.

With all the patches installed though, it's not a bad game to be honest. It's pretty fun at times, though also frustrating. In the end, it's probably worth the 20 bucks, yeah. Just be glad you didn't spend 60 bucks on it like I did.

I'm currently borrowing this game from a friend, he has my Resistance 2 in the mean time.

Though I'm not very far in it, It's enjoyable for now. Not even close to the best game I played but it's fun.

Also, dune buggies! Screw protective vehicles, just tear through the landscape in a buggy!

Of course I expected it to be First Person, the key word is "everything". It's a little like Mirror's Edge, every action is in First Person. This includes getting in and out of cars, boats, or buggies, healing yourself, grabbing stuff, unjamming guns, everything. It took be a little bit to get used to everything being in First Person, but I got over it.

It was fun. A good game, but a bit too long/repetitive, and the combat mechanics weren't as good as they could have been.

It also annoyed me that I had to play for both sides of the damn conflict, since I prefer loyalty. Interestingly enough, though, I haven't had that problem with GTA Chinatown Wars.

Anyway, it was really fun playing with fire. >_>

I don't really like it because it's kind of samey all the way through. No real progression in terms of difficulty. But when I started playing it it was fun and challenging so I'll frogive it and go with "stupid gnu".
