Poll: Favorite historical empire

The title says it all, what is your favorite empire from the world history?.
The Mongolians, the Greek, The Egyptians, the Romans, the Portuguese, The Dutch, British or American (in a way)

My favorite is of course the proper last empire and the largest; the empire that never slept. The British Empire. The think was massive, it ranged from the east - Asia, to the Central regions - Africa and then to the west, blitzing through Ireland, Canada and the United States.

The only thing to ever stop it was the Americans with the aid of the french and bankruptcy after WWII.

The Celtic empire. They ruled Europe, before they got slaughtered by the unimaginative misery technologically backwater roman dogs out for revenge for pillaging their 'great' city.

I mean really, the Romans didn't even have the backbone to pay what was demanded of them for the 'barbarian' horde to leave the city, but instead began to squabble about the inaccuracy of the scaled used to weigh the ransom. Dogs is a good description of them, and like dogs they waited for a few centuries and then struck back like they'd caught rabies.

But the books are awesome!

I want it to be good...

I never heard about the books until I saw the preview.

It just looked like a movie based upon a book.

I still think Clash of the Titans will kick ass.

They got Liam Neeson to play Zeus. He's already like a god, but now, he's the god of gods!
