Alright, while Ashley's not my favorite character by any stretch, I find myself defending her way more than I should. Instead of going into my normal lecture about her circumstances and how she's trying to change (unless you want me to), I'll just ask one thing: mentioning a belief in god makes someone "crazy religious"?

The thing with Wrex, you mean? At this point, I may be willing to concede that she's racist, but how does that have anything to do with her religion? She mentions it one time, for god's sake, and even then it sounds as if it's no more major than simply believing god exists.

Yeah, I wasn't getting a whole lot of "Zealot" from her as much as I was getting "Old lady who thinks the young Black Man in her church is up to something." vibe. Although, this old lady has guns BOOMSTICK. And isn't old.

I still don't really think she is racist, but I can see why someone may think that. I just get really, really annoyed (and this is coming from someone who is not religious at all) when people try to say that she's evil because she's religious.

Ahh...remember when people only talked about which console/game was better, not the deep, emotional motivations of characters in one specific game?

As I played a soldier, Tali was more or less a necessity for playthroughs. However, Bioware was totally on the ball when they made the "caster-y" character NOT a weakling. Outfitted with the shotgun, Tali could brawl with the best of them, also, I think her shields eventually became the heaviest in the game (or at least, REALLY strong). With Tali more or less a permanent member of the squad, I usually picked between Wrex, Garrus and Ashley. This was mostly because I wanted an extra assault rifle.

So yeah, Tali gets my vote. Awesome that she's making a comeback! However, the one fear is that she might pull a Prince of Persia (originally likable character from first game becomes angst ridden, foul mouthed psychotic).

I will be using her in Mass Effect 2.

Well, this pretty much sums up what i was thinking.
I used to play as an adept and have Tali and Ashley.
Adept trained in assult rifles is kick-ass.

I always find myself having to defend Ashley but then again I always managed to talk Wrex down. At least she's more interesting than Kaidan/Carth. *Kills twenty eight people and one puppy* "Was that necessary, Commander?" CHRIST, MAN! Show some principle instead of your passive-aggressive mealy mouthed bullshit. I had the same problem with him in Knights of the Old Republic and I had no problem letting him get nuked. I just imagine it had some cartoon effect where he is soot all over his face pondering over whether I got something against him or not.

Tied between Garrus and Tali. Garrus can be summed up as "Tacticool", while Tali is a combination of "adorable" and "fascinating".

Plus, they really helped to round out my pure-soldier class.

Am I the only one who fails to see anything interesting in Tali, i mean, sure, she has an interesting cultural background and is interesting to talk to, but, i don't see it or am I just shallow? I picked Wrex cause that's pretty much me personified into a game.

I really liked Tali, her personality and story was cool and interesting, shame she kinda got shafted in the game. I really hope more of her and her races story is explored in the sequel now that she's confirmed to be returning. I'm glad I killed Ashley in my game, couldn't stand her whiney racist bitchyness.

As for shooting Wrex, that is just simply acting as any soldier would, a merc pulls a weapon on your CO, its quite reasonable to shoot him right then and there, thats just acting like any soldier would.

I believe it started with the Leeroy Jenkins video where this one guy rushes into an area and gets his entire team killed.

OT: I really enjoyed Tali, mainly because her voice actor did such a good job in delivering her lines, it really gave Tali character.
