Which one and why? Online and Offline Reasons

Mine is probably FIFA for the online because the community is very good and there about a bajillion people online all the time.

ANNNNNNNND.....NHL offline because of the control scheme and the new Be A Pro mode although the NHL online experience is very good too. 5v5 is pretty sick when you get 2 well played teams together.

What about you guys????

Hey look who it is;D.
Well, I'm a massive football (soccer, whatever) fan, and I've played Fifa since I was little; it's the only sports franchise I play, and it's one of my favorite franchises EVAAAH!

I've played a surprising number of those games for someone who isn't a huge sports fan. I chose MLB the Show, easily one of the most well put together sport sims I've ever played.

plus it doesn't hurt to be a fan of baseball. NHL isn't too bad either, I miss the old GM mode from the games where you could renovate your stadium and change ticket/hot dog prices. I don't know why they got rid of that aspect of the game.

FIFA for me, because I like football, I've never played a PES game so I don't know whether I'm missing out on much, but all my friends have FIFA so that's the one I'll stick with.

I don't like any other sports games.

Never fear...I...is here.
Tottenham huh? Liverpool here and I'm from the states.

I figured FIFA would be towards the top.

The thing that I really like about MLB: The Show is the immersion that you get from the RTTS mode. It gives you a real sense of pride when you take the field for your first major league debut. The problem is the ridiculous Online support that they have. They shouldn't have even put it in because it's so bad.

And not power glove bad either.

Really? On the internet I always read more about Madden. But for me, it's FIFA too.

Yeah, most Americans are Liverpool fans haha!
Just out of interest, how closely do you follow English football, or the game in general?

Does anyone remember the Backyard Sports series? I had a great deal of fun with those games, especially Backyard Baseball. That's really the only sports franchise that i've liked or even bothered to play.

I thought most Americans were Man U supporters?!?!?!? With the Range Rooney being the most recognizable square headed footballer on the planet.

I try to follow the EPL as much as possible but it's hard to watch them Live. The ESPN app on the 360 has made it very easy though. I also follow the MLS here and go to the Dynamo games when I can.

Never played em but I remember them. I should probably load up my emulators and check em out. I remember reading about the baseball one in a mag somewhere.

Madden is probably bigger in the States but overall in the world it's FIFA. Last I checked anyway.
Yeah, I figured that. It makes sense given the popularity of actual vs. American football in the world compared to the US. However, since I think Americans are a little overrepresented on the internet and forums like these, I expected it to be pretty close.

Madden 2000 was so good, that they made the exact same game 11 years in a row and it sold! How many other series can say that?

I played those a ton as a kid, they were great.

My favorite sports video game franchise is easily NCAA Football, I find it way more fun than Madden because you only get your players for a couple years. The dynasty mode is fun to me because I like that you have to do well in recruiting every year, or your team will start to become terrible. I have just always found College Football more exciting to watch than the NFL, the atmosphere at a college game is more awesome, in my opinion.

LOL. It's pretty much the same game but that's because they bought out the competition with the exclusivity rights to the NFL. Now they have no reason to change it.

A little piece of trivia about Madden 2000. The opening song was Ludacrous' first song. Still remember it too.
MAN GET OUT MY WAY....I'll stop right there. That's what the youtubes' is for.

EA's NHL series, why on Earth is this not its own option in your poll? As far as innovation, in terms of not just selling a roster update every year, NHL easily out does the other franchises.
