I've been going over some of the better SyFy Channel shows on Hulu and catching up with older ones on Netflix, and I was curious which of the shows my fellow Escapists enjoyed as well.

Man I don't even know what's on TV anymore. I'm a torrent guy, me. And even if I had a TV, after "scifi" changed to "syfy" we became enemies.
Hey, how 'bout Sanctuary, is that still airing? I am trying really, really hard to enjoy that. It's a great premise, beatiful CG... but oh god... that dialogue. Oh, it's like listening to Barbie cartoons going on about lame philosophy.

Oh good god. I would have said Battlestar Galacitica if the poll didn't lump in "spinoffs" with it. Following Battlestar Galactica up with Caprica is very, very similar to following the Star Wars trilogy up with the Phantom Menace.
I love watching Caprica, but whereas I used to love Battlestar Galactica for the interesting characters, gripping plots, and topical and insightful political commentary, I love watching Caprica because I can get drunk with my roommates and laugh my ass off at how completely absurd everything about it is. I watched BSG like I watched Inception, but I watch Caprica like I watched Plan 9 From Outer Space.

im going to say ghost hunters....i find it funny to watch them all shit themselves over a mouse fart.
Eureka is about the only one I watch, and that is rare even. Scare Tactics was pretty good, but it was a lot better with the female host, with the new guy they seem to have dumbed down the... erm... things and end it way too early. Oh, and as a side note, no offense, but I kinda want to hit you for "SyFy". I don't care if they changed it to that, it still looks stupid. To me the channel is still SciFi and Pluto is still a planet.dbrose said:
