Personally I vote for GW2. Their event system looks like Rifts on steroids.

Which is crazy amazing, if you don't already know.

TOR will be my main MMO - story's something I heavily enjoy in games and I really love most of what I've seen of the game so far.

That said, I will grab a copy of GW2 for one simple reason - it's about as much bang for your buck as you can get out of a game. Considering no ongoing fees, it's really not something I can forgive myself to miss. Expect I'll get a good time out of it now and again, but I haven't really been feeling the vibe from the game too much. I'm guessing it's the IP, Guild Wars lore never gripped me much, probably thanks to really terrible delivery in the first game.

Yeah, I heard GW1 was pretty fail-tastic. I'm also keeping an eye on TOR because that space battle footage looks amazing.

The only two on my horizon will definitely be both Guild wars 2 and Phantasy star online 2. Both look absolutely awesome.

Guild Wars 1 was the only good MMO that I've ever played (opinion!), so GW2 is the only MMO that I'm going to play (a lot) in the future.

I love WoW, but i really want to play TOR at least for a little while. i dont see myself balancing 2 MMO's though- and if it comes down to it, im going to have to choose wow, unless TOR just blows me out of the fucking water. we'll just have to see, i doubt my computer will even be able to run it (one of the nice things about playing wow, i dont really have a gaming computer but i can still raid and battleground with no slowdown on my shitty laptop)

Well, I Hate to be "That Guy" Of the thread. But I don't think I will play any of those, MMO's just don't have it for me. Although that could be related to how much I hate people who are higher leveled and just go arround attacking lower levels.

WoW is in it's slow decline. You can feel it when you log in. Everything is being rehashed, it's getting repetitive and tedious (even for an MMO!), and everything just feels like it's been done before. I log in every few days and just ask myself... why am I still playing this game? It's really depressing because I want so badly for it to be fun again, like it was in vanilla, BC, and the last few months of WotLK. It just isn't though. I'm not sure if it's the fault of the designers getting complacent, or if I've just grown tired of the game in general. I do however, know that I am not alone in these feelings regarding WoW. Many of my friends feel the same way.

So my next MMO will be SWTOR. The story elements sound awesome, the raids with individual loot containers sound awesome, and the classes all seem fairly unique and interesting. We'll see if it lives up to the hype, but so far it looks great.

I've got TOR pre-ordered already, have for a week. I'll also pick up GW2.

They both look fun and I'm a big fan of SW, so that's why TOR is top on my list. But I also enjoyed GW and GW2 looks good as well.

Got to go with TOR. I currently play EVE, but that doesn't suck up as much time seeing as I'm an industrialist in that game.

Those who are also interested in TOR should probably look at the little Escapist group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Star-Wars-The-Old-Republic-SW-TOR] we've set up for it. Already have guilds and have been waiting for the ship-date announcement for almost a year.

TOR, after everything i've seen with it it it'll definitely have me hooked, and since it'll be my first official mmo (besides shit like runescape and whatnot) i'll probably stick with it at least for 5-6 months, then we'll see after that..

GW2 i checked out as it's a flat fee, which i love, but its lore and presentation seem a little..off for my tastes.

Diablo 3 /thread
TOR looks alright, and I'll check out GW2 and Firefall, but Diablo 3 will snatch my soul from where D2 left off.

GW2, and only GW2. A company formed by Blizzard devs that didn't want to work on WoW? Yes, please!
I really hope Kormir makes a return in the second game. That was way too big of a plot point in Nightfall for her to be gone in GW2.

I have several favorites that I am looking towards. Guild Wars 2, SWTOR, ArcheAge, RIFT, the Protector Browser-MMO, and the unknown sleeper hits.

Guild Wars 2 looks incredibly promising, as does SW: The Old Republic. However, I voted for Guild Wars 2 because the franchise isn't as established as Star Wars, and frankly, I've been anticipating it a little longer.

If someone only played the first guild wars campaign (prophecies), i can understand why you may think it's not very good (I don't like the prophecies campaign much either, it's a chore to play through really) :p Factions wasn't *amazing* either (but the assassin and alliance battles make up for it), but Nightfall and eye of the north is when the focus shifted to PvE more and it shows :)

Guild wars 2 is looking great though, plus it's not a sub game, so every self respecting MMO player remotely interested in that kind of setting should buy it.

ToR is kind of a 'meh' game for me though, it just hasn't gripped me in any way. Still, i'm sure it'll do well :)
