I actually want to encourage you to vote before participating in any discussion, as I want to see what the majority of you have always believed (as opposed to what you could be persuaded to believe).

Anyways, me and a few friends had an argument last night (that lasted way longer than it should've) about which day is the first day of the week. It wasn't 50-50 and those arguing for the minority had no intention of converting. But there were some sensible arguments from both sides. I'm not going to present my argument or reasoning to avoid bias.

Also, I've listed the options in nothing other than alphabetical order to avoid any favouritism.

Well I'm a High School Student, so I said Monday. For me the week means school work, my week goes from Monday to Friday.

Going against what my family thinks, so I'm going with Monday. I believe a week is broken down into weekdays and a weekend. The weekend portion is the end of the week, hence the name so Monday is the dull dreary start of the week we all love to hate

Officially, I will always go with the official Sunday, as that is what appears on calenders. Unofficially, I don't strictly speaking follow a weekly schedule, so the first day of the week for me is different each week. Sometimes I feel like Monday is the beginning of the week, sometimes Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. It all depends on when I start a particular project. Whatever day that is, that's the first day of the week for me.

Officially, it's Sunday.

However, I tend to feel that Monday, erm, feels more like the first day than Sunday, since it's part of the weekend.

Monday is the day I would have to start working in school, so that feels like the first day of the week for me.

I meant to vote for Monday! I really did! I hit Sunday accidentally.

I demand a recount! THE BALLOT WAS CONFUSING!!!
There. Now no one can make anextremely dated Bush-Gore Florida voting fiasco joke. What's that? I'm the only one who would have made it any way? Damn.

I don't start anything on Sundays, a Sunday is just the last day of a weekend.

Monday on the otherhand starts off the work/school week (for the majority of us) so it's the better candidate for the title in my opinion.

I've always thought Sunday was the start of the week. That's how it's set up on a calendar, and even though I don't use a calendar all too often, that's still what I go by.

It'a got to be Monday, for Monday begins the week its the start of work for me and therefore the week can only get better as the days go by. Sunday is purely a day of relaxation to mark the end of the weekend.
