A new FPS is coming out for all three consoles. They all have the same story and multiplayer components. Which console do you get it for?
PROS:
Wii- Motion controls
360- Online
PS3- Graphics

CONS:
Wii- Low graphics
360- Evil D-Pad
PS3- Lousy Trigger

ASSUMING THAT YOU HAVE ALL THREE

The fact that you have to pay to play on XboX LIVE isn't a flaw with the core quality of FPS's.
If you claim that it does, then by your logic, a free flash game is instantly better than Halo, CoD, or... some other mainstream FPS.

I'm not including the PC. You don't enroll Micheal Phelps in a High School Swim Meet.

XboX 360's RROD doesn't influence the quality of the game's experience overall. That's like saying that you wouldn't get a Wii because it's too fragile.

Not all games need to be installed on the PS3 by the way...

I'd get it on the PS3 out of my 360, PS3 and PC. Because of the free online primarily.

Hear hear!

But if I had to get it for a console, then I would go PS3. And BTW, not all PS3 games need to be installed.

Agreed!

I love consoles but FPS games are FAR better on PC. Honestly, i have an impact 2000dpi gaming mouse and logitech g15 and they are so much better than console controllers.

I've played a FPS on all 3 consoles so I can give an opinion on all.

Wii: Well the motion controls sound good, but for many games trying to incorporate the inaccuracy that most Wii games seem to have with frantic shooting combat dosen't work. However, these games are usually a little less intense, and are more suited for the younger FPS lovers.

PS3: These games look amazing, and if you are used to the controller from previous Sony consoles then you'll be right at home. If you choose to install the times are so slow they make Glaciers look like Kenyan sprinters (nothing against Kenyans btw).

360: Superior control, damn good online community, and impressive graphics make these games work. However, in some cases you'll have the graphics popping out of the background as the 360 is slow to pick up on some details. You could solve this by installing, but many games request that you DON'T install the game.

Overall all three consoles have pros and cons, but the 360 has the superior FPS library at the moment, stronger online community, and overall is more suited for the FPS crowd. PS3 comes in a close second, and the Wii comes in 4th after the Xbox and PS2 tie for 3rd.

I would wait for the super-textured PC port with higher resolutions and better controls.

Smoke on that! ;)

EDIT: Just read the Michael Phelps line, haha.

This is giant flame bait, seriosly this is just as bad as a which is better thing.

Anyway, assuming I have all 3 I'd get it for the 360 just because everyone has a mic, and there is a flaw with the 360, spontanios RRoD.

And there is nothing wrong with the PS3's trigger, why does eeveryone say this, it uses the R1 button, for you 360 boys thats the Right Bumper, theres nothing wrong with it.

Assuming that each console's strengths are used perfectly, to the maximum of their capacities - AND I HAVE TO PLAY AN FPS ON A CONSOLE -then it's certainly Wii. I guess that developers able to make good motion controls will also compensate for graphics' limitations with cel-shading or something like that.

And 360's glaring flaw could be performance dips due to overheating (plus the risk of RRoD).
