Does anyone else engage in this fun sport?
What do you think of it? of the people who do it?

I do it as a hobby and it is fairly easy, (he says sitting here with a broken leg *shakes fist at foolish drivers*) I was wondering if anyone had anytips or advice for trying to get across slate roofs because i have to bypass them ATM and it would be so much easyier to just go over them.

free-running+the occasional(or more frequent)stab in the face of a random enemy=PRINCE OF PERSIA.

Which is awesome.

try putting double sided duct tape on your shoes.

I'm into this kind of thing, more Parkour than Free-running though. I like the whole 'always improve, look after your body, practice in the safest possible way' philosophy of Parkour. Actually, just the fact that Parkour has a philosophy of sorts is what drew me to it over the more 'energetic showboating' of free-running.

I voted insane...but in a good way. I love free running...but there isn't much to climb where I live so its mostly trees and then people call me a squirrel...

I used to free run but back in october I hurt my knee going up a flight of concrete stairs (slipped thanks to a piece of garbage on the top step) and I came down right on the knee cap, I've walked with a slight limp since and it hurts if I run or put to much pressure on it for too long. I still think its a fun thing to do though.

I voted insane because free running and i have a love-hate relationship. Everything was all good and well until some random pedestrian saw me on the roof of my nearest tall building, then called the cops, no doubt thinking i was suicidal or had a rifle in my hands.

I like it but I heard from a gymnast friend that most free-runners end up with bung knees before they learn how to fall properly. Which doesn't take away from free-running- I like it a lot.

Wicked cool stuff. Amazing what a human can do when he puts his mind to it.

What's Parkour, Whitto?

I love it, there was a fantastic documentary on a form of free running/ parkour called yamakasi in france. You should all watch it. In fact:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3773384792923323349

It explains the why at least for this town and is truly amazing.

Sure, I'm all for it.

By the way, you know what character I think could benefit from free running in his games? Sonic the Hedgehog.
