Well, last year I got an AC2 hoodie for pre-ordering at JB HI-FI, and I didn't wear it out because I was a tad concerned at seeming an attention-seeking GURL GAMER or a crazed fan. I eventually wore it to uni the other day to see what would happen, and to my surprise got a couple of compliments from strangers.

So I was wondering, do Escapists buy or wear game clothing? Any real reason why or why not? And what do other people think about it?

I have that sweet Portal t-shirt that was (still is?) on the valve store - the one with the orange and blue rings and the man waving. I've got a t-shirt with the Pokemon logo on too, although I was given that as a present - still wear it though.

I have a Portal T-shirt also, but mine is the one with the Companion Cube on it (see here: http://store.valvesoftware.com/productshowcase/productshowcase_PortalShirt_WCC.html ). That's the only game-related T-shirt I have, although I would like more. If it didn't mean giving money to EA I would buy a Mass Effect t-shirt in a flash.

I don't own any, but I would wear it... depending on the clothing.

If it was some kind of blatant advertising for a franchise, then no...

However, if it was a cool logo, gaming meme, etc... then I might consider it.

No, and I wouldn't wear it - it makes me cringe when I see people with WoW T-shirts or whatever.

Does a t-shirt that says 'guns don't kill people, magic missiles do.' count as a gaming shirt?
yes.

I have a Phoenix Wright t-shirt, a Nuklear Power Black Mage and Red Mage shirt, a VG Cats "Eat, Sleep, Breathe, Video Games" shirt, and an Elder Scrolls hat.

I probably would but I've never actually found any game related clothing. Present from one of you maybe? Still for now I also don't have enough cash to spend it on gamer clothing.

Well... no.

Only because my clothes consist entirely of hand-me-downs.

Being in a large family has its disadvantages.

That is so awesome! *drools*

I don't have anything game-related, but I'd love a few T-shirts. Anyone willing to give me some money for theescapist shop? *cricket noises*

Yeah, just a few items. There's a retro-style Sonic t-shirt that I wear out a lot, but the rest is mainly for wearing around the house. All t-shirts: Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 9, Guitar Hero, a sort of Space Invaders looking thing that's actually from Primark... yeah.

Well yes, I own a Melty Blood T-shirt with the game logo on the breast and 2 overlapping pictures of Arcueid and the command input for Marble Phantasm on the back. That in itself is pretty telling that I'm more prone to wearing anime-themed clothing than game-themed.

I have a ctrl-alt-delete shirt that I had to buy because it defined me all too well sometimes XD. I wear it now and again... I even got more compliments than some cosplayers at an anime/game expo

Currently, no.

But if I owned this shirt, every day man. Every fucking day.
